A great price on a great spec'd Android TV box.

I own the Meta version of the same model and it is awesome. A good development support at the moment from Tronsmart and very snappy performance overall.

Telos is Tronsmart's top variant of S95 model.

      Would make a great MKV player. Just install MX player on it and you're good to go. There are some issues with AC3 and DTS audio (due to licensing restrictions iirc), but there is a fix (just search AC3 DTS MX player fix).

    I'd avoid this android box. There are a lot of huge problems with it that tronsmart seem incapable of fixing (see their forum). Pass through for 5.1 audio requires a different branch of kodi (vidon) and is still not working properly on many formats DTS etc. Bought this last year and despite a few firmware upgrades most problems remain. I suggest to find another non amlogic based box..

          I got pi but couldnt get it to talk to my HDs. Has that been resolved? I got smart TVs and chromecast so just need to play local content mkv's etc.

      Agreed that they still haven't fully resolved the DTS passthrough issue because Amlogic are still due on releasing an update for kernel however this shouldn't affect everyone but only those who intend to connect this box with their amplifier receiver, some users might just want to use this as a normal media box and might be happy with the stereo sound from their TV.

    Dont buy this box. Tronsmart abandon them after about 3 months. I own the R68 and the factory rom is full of errors which they cannot fix.

    I am using a 3rd party rom which does work better now but still not happy. Also the remote controls do not work unless you are within 2M of the device.

    Do yourself a favour and get an Nvidia shield.

        owning several android Chinese TV boxes, my current TV box is windows 10 and Intel….. also have a zidoo for recording HDMI.

        The problems with ongoing support for chinese TV boxes is once a new model comes out there is little incentive to put resources into supporting / software development for the old one if sales are declining as people buy the new model due to faster hardware specs. You see it with Android phones also, once sales decline.

        That said there are lots of cheaper S905 based pucks at cheap prices and they are fine if what you want to do is run kodi and netflix, Iview, you tube etc.

        I've found Tronsmart OK to get firmware to a point it works (android 5) but won't see android 6 on my S905 …. they will have a new model for android 6 …… I even run the Tronsmart firmware on non Tronsmart pucks because they are more advanced than some other companies.

        My intel puck …..gets windows 10 updates, runs windows apps,

        The Tronsmart Orion R68 - the Optical/SPDIF does not work

        Lots of complaints but that is the show stopper for me personally.

        First reported on their forums below 1st of December.

        There are other minor problems like skipping every now and again etc but thats ok to live with.

        If you could find out if this is something that is still being worked on that would be great.

        Comparing with someone like Zidoo they have released around 15 firmware updates for their RK3368 box vs about 3 for Tronsmart

          Latest update for 100mb version was in December and February for the gigabit version.

          I have 2 of the 100mb versions of which SPDIF doesn't work.

          Checking the Tronsmart Updates Blog for this model I only see 1 post firmware release for my model.

          For the 100mb I can only count 1 update to firmware, and I am happy to be corrected.

    I was going to ask what the SATA plugs on the side were for, but then I scrolled down to see them plugging in an IDE HDD via SATA…
