  You have 'Videodrome' to thank for 'eXistenZ' and thus the Chrisopher Nolan rip 'Inception'. I watched it a while ago during a James Woods binge. Not one of his best still 7/10 film. Captures the eighties vibe well, not as good as the cheesy buddy cop Michael J Fox film that came later (in late eighties/early nineties cringe factor). As for that Cronenberg era people really go for 'Dead Ringers' (which I thought was a slow painful excision) at least 'Videodrome' is mainly fun, 'Scanners' would be my pick (if you can find a copy around for $2) out of that era.
