Gonna give these a go as I don't have any hybrids in my headphone collection and this is the cheapest way to try them out. Use the coupon to take 5% off and it should bring them down to $18.04USD, which is easily the best price I could see for them.

Enjoy

    Do they come in black?
The silver look way too naff.

EDIT: A quick google search suggests they only come in silver.

  • thanks ordered, went with tnt shipping

  • thanks ordered one

  • Argh, i really did not need a new pair as my Piston 3s are going great. But for the price, I could not resist. Ordered.

  • I've got these, can highly recommend them for the price - you won't find anything close!!

I own both the Xiaomi Hybrid earphones and the Xiaomi Piston 3. I prefer the Piston 3 over the Hybrid. The primary reason is that the Hybrid has a very rolled off top end, i.e. the treble does not come across as clearly as with the Piston 3. Although the bass and midrange is a tad better than the Piston 3, the Hybrid totally lacks sparkle. I feel that the balanced armature driver is not tuned correctly so it's only the dynamic driver that's pushing out most of the sound. Build quality is very good though.

  • As per the advise of many others on here; bought 2 via standard mail (15-30 business days).

I was having some certificate, and website GUI issues accessing the shopping cart when trying to purchase through Google Chrome (version: 49.0.2623.87 m) and Internet Explorer (version: 11.0.9600.18230) at work; though was able to purchase fine on my phone.

I'm used to using the Samsung Earphones and been using those for the past 4 years - Samsung used to replace them for free no hassles when they broke, but have cracked down in recent months (phone purchased via Kogan is not covered) I've been through about four sets of them… following comments above that these are far superior to the standard Apple earphones, I look forward to testing these out!

    • Were you given any specific errors when trying to checkout on the web?

      • No particular error messages, only when accessing the Shopping Cart; I received the standard "This website is unsafe and may be harmful to your PC" then "Proceed anyway" (because YOLO), then the interface of the shopping cart was all skewed, images wouldn't load, and the shopping cart showed 0 items in the cart, despite several attempts to add them, and most of the links on the page appeared broken/didn't work.

Seeing as it was consistent with Chrome and IE, I'd put it down to works proxy settings and website blocking. Bought it through my mobile with no problems! :)

        • Yep. Definitely something with your work's network.

  • Quick Question,

Does Geekbuying send it via the Australia Post network?

I want to send to an AuPost Parcel Locker close to work.

(Parcel Locker Info: Parcels delivered by other carriers

We'll accept domestic and international parcels from other carriers as long as they've paid to send them via the Australia Post network.

If the carrier chooses not to use our network, they should contact you - or the sender - to arrange alternate delivery of pick-up options.)

Free shipping is done through China Post, Singapore Post and PostNL. Once it reaches Australia, Auspost take over and they can send it to Parcel Lockers. TNT Express can't do parcel lockers.

      • Sweet, I'll just do the standard posting.

  • bought one thanks!

  • Clear,

Any chance of a code on this? http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Tronsmart-Quick-Charge-2-0-2-…

Totally unrelated to this post, but you're so helpful :) Also grabbed myself some pistons!

    Thanks

Since it hasn't been asked yet… How do the Xiaomi Hybrid IEM's compare to the Xiaomi Original Piston (I) earphones?

(eg: the ones from the OZB deal for approx $5 a few months back).

  • I'll wait for a deal from someone other than Geekbuying or Gearbest.

I ordered a Redmi Note 3 (TNT delivery) from Geekbuying last month and it was a poor experience. My order was delayed, emails were rarely responded to, the online chat takes forever to connect, the operators don't seem to know whats going on and avoided directly answering my questions about expected processing time and delivery dates.

Eventually i received the following email:

    Dear sir/mam

Thanks a lot for your patience of waiting the xiaomi 362397 purchased on Geekbuying.com.
Everybody know that xiaomi is really the most popular and top selling brand among all Made in China cellphones. However, they only supply very limited quantity each time which makes huge of our orders a lot of delay. And we know that you are so worried but eager to get the amazing xiaomi 362397 in hand. The good news is that we can get them from the market at a much higher price (36USD more) and then we can delivery all orders in 2 business days.

This situation was out of our control but we should let customers know the truth. So we want to discuss with you with these decisions:
    1. We each Share the extra cost by 50% and phones will be sent at the soonest time. If you agree with this, we will send you an email for you to make up the price of 18 USD.
    2. We wait for more days together to get the cellphone at the price that you have paid (Xiaomi will lower down the price when they have adequate inventory. )

We look forward to your soonest decision. Thanks you so much for your understandings!

I declined to pay additional costs for the product. I sent a couple more emails to get info on how long the delay would be if i went with the second option but didn't get a response. I then contacted the online chat and was told:

service02: oh we have many emails each day, and sometimes if the network is not good
service02: we wont get yur email

That was the last straw. I launched a paypal dispute, got a refund and ordered from an aliexpress supplier.

Clearly some people here have had positive experiences but mine was pretty shit.

    • That's why I never post Xiaomi presales. In this case Xiaomi ended up holding onto the ordered stock and wouldn't release it until more was paid. Not long after Geekbuying contacted customers the other sites also raised their prices.

      • I didn't know this was a regular problem with Xiaomi presales.

I think the fact that this is a regular problem makes the whole situation even more of mess. If Geekbuying know stock is likely to be an issue they shouldn't be pre-selling a product at a price they are unable to deliver at within the advertised time-frame. Other sites simply had the phone as 'out of stock'.

Also, this doesn't really address how poor the service was which i think may be a more systemic problem, I mean a technology company pretty much admitted to losing emails(!)

You're absolutely right. While I have full control over what content is posted on Ozbargain, I have no control over their presales or stock levels. It's very frustrating for me as I can't really help in these instances, but I'll always try.

  • it might be a long shot but how does it compared to this old Ultimate Ears 700 IEM?

    • UE 700 - 3 Stars
      Piston IV - 4.5 Stars

  • Pulled the trigger.

  • Mine arrived today (Melbourne, VIC) ordered 5/4 :)

  • mine arrived yesterday =)

  • Mine arrived today and ordered the day of OP's post. Cheers OP!

  • Mine just arrived too, bit of a nugget compared to the 3's, lacking bass and the packaging is el-cheapo. It just feels like they've gone a step backwards IMO.

  • still waiting on mine, holy dayum its taking forever
