This is a free Student Development Pack from GitHub and their partners that is full of goodies. It's not for everyone, but it's perfect for anyone currently studying Computer Science or any other IT related course.

It was very popular in RyanTheAllmighty's deal almost 2 years ago, but some things are different like the DigitalOcean credit that is now $50 instead of $100.

GitHub have also added some extra requirements to be eligible so that former students can't exploit the deal.

Eligibility requirements

      There are more deals and some of them are different than the pack 2 years ago. I wouldn't call it worse.

      considering the amount of stuff(consider normal price) that the 'student' is getting
      this is still a VERY awesome deal, but it is, more relevant to IT peoples that swing more towards the tech side

    For what it's worth, BitBucket fulfils the same purpose as Github while having unlimited private repositories for free for anyone

      Except its free tier has a limit of 5 users, where GitHub's is unlimited in all brackets.

      Their different pricing models means that either one is good, it just depends on your team/project etc.

      I'm using GitLab now since my micro account from this deal is almost expired. It's free and has free CI inbuilt which makes it a really good platform IMHO :)

    Unreal Engine 4 is completely free to use for everyone. You just pay 5% royalties to Epic after you make $3000.
