  • Price on the KitchenAid casserole 3.8L looks good but I found it on ebay for the same price, so is that just its typical sale price? Can't really find any reviews for it either.

  • Description from MYER http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/cast-iron-empire-red-38l…

With the KitchenAid Professional Cast Iron Range, you can experience the convenience of high-temperature cooking; sear, braise and roast meat, fish and vegetables in one single dish. Made from Cast Iron. Made in China.

These things last forever. If you need one, better off getting a french made Le Creuset when it is on special

    • +1 for the Le Creuset.

If you're buying the KitchenAid, check out the lid handles. These thing get really hot, most cast casseroles have a knob in the middle of the lid to allow for easy one hand removal. This one had handles on the side. To me that would make for awkward removal, especially at 180 degrees.

      • I think you can flip the kitchenaid lid and use it to grill items.. at least that's what the kitchenaid website suggests. Do others do this too?
