  • Price in title would be helpful

  • Wow good price. I was at Binglee Canberra not 10mins ago and they have these on sale for $1840.

  • def reccomend this tv i paid 1500 for my series 5 lcd back in the day, I am tempted to get this….

  • I almost had a heart attack… I bought the LED version not 2 weeks ago for $1650. Fortunately, this is just the LCD. Great TV anyway, and fantastic price.

    • Oh, my bad. The one I saw in Binglee today was LED. Which explains the price I posted earlier.

  • i hear there isnt much difference between led and lcd can someone explain.

I am seriously considering upgrading from my series 5 37" to this
my s5 specs are 50hz 1080p compared to the 100hz.

with this tv would i get the same drag behind players on fifa, it is like a blur as they run…?

    • LED is only the backlighting method used. The TV is still a LCD display. Samsung have actually been in strife with the ACCC for calling these TV's LED TV's.

    • turn on game mode. solves the drag.

    • LED backlighting is more economical over flourescent. Also, narrower.

    • 37" s5 to 40" s6. i'm sure you've better things to do than to lose money over this upgrade. unless of course you are looking for a second tv.

when you say blur, you're describing motion blur and not input lag, am i correct? if so, then getting a 100/200hz panel should solve the problem.

  • I purchased th 32" 6 series fo $999
    This is a great deal!

  • I purchased this at Myer for $1,047 + $50 delivery last 2 week ago.
    This still good deal

    • +1

      how?

  • That would be an excellent price, i paid 1300 one month ago BUT … cannot see it online !!

  • Great Tv, @ a Decent price

  • I have that TV, its a nice tv. The internet features are slow, but its a good picture.

    • I only can use Youtube and the weather forecast.
      Is there something else ?
Did you try to stream from PC? How's your quality?
Mine is so bad that I always use the USB stick

      • 1 .Yes, you can go to the widget gallery and you should see 2 more widgets to install (eg Australian news), more are supposed to be comming.
        2. I use a blue (ethernet) cable rather than wireless.
        3. USB will allow better fast forward features then DLNA (media streaming)until a newer firmware arrives.
        4. The windows 7 playto (DLNA) feature works ok (I think is realy sexy) with this if you are all networked up. You can control playback of photos, movies and music from your pc in another room. Great for a party or for an advertising senario (eg tv is up on high wall in waiting room).
        5. The content gallery is pretty average and if the internet and content is your thing then I would add a HTPC (home theatre PC).

  • I bought this TV 16 months ago for double this and love it so get's my vote! Breaks my heart though a little too…

  • how much would delivery be?

  • You can get it here for same price and 5 years warranty
    http://digitalcentre.com.au/p/859214/samsung-la40b650-lcd-tv…

Although few users have had problem with them (refer whirlpool) - I didn't mind waiting couple of weeks when I bought from them ..

  • TV prices are coming down a lot. I have a 32" LCD Samsung tv and it does not have any HDMI ports, maybe 4-5 years old. This is a bargain.

  • crazy deal!
got mine about a year ago for 3k

  • Saw the exact same deal at Harvey Norman (Martin Place, Sydney) this afternoon at lunch. The guy tells me, this is a clear out because new models are arriving next week. The new Series 6 comes with IPTV built in.

  • wow great deal! I have this exact TV purchased late last year for $1600 with a bonus 32" series 4 that I managed to sell on eBay for $400.. so almost the same price as this one :)

    a steal at this price!

  • Really great TV.

    • Really big too!

I wonder what the delivery charges will be…

  • I've got this in stock and is on sale for $949 + free shipping to any where in Australia.
