The quick charger combo is the pick of the bunch if you can find one :)

    • +49

Sold out at my local, but grabbed a 4 AA and 4 AAA combo pack for $10 :) My first Eneloop purchase. I felt like a filthy Ozbargain pleb until now.

      • +15

Welocme aboard, the shower is that way —->

        • +6

          pfffttt…get off your high horses!!

          This is ENELOOOPS!!!

        • I am sick with someone who is still talking about the history. Past is past, we go forward, not backward.

        • @divious:
History be buggered. You might go forward, but the batteries didnt, they went backwards and many other brands are much better than Chinese Eneloops, proven in several tests already.

These are missing the benefits Eneloop had over other LSD batteries. These are garbage.

        • @Tuba:
Do you have a link to any of these tests?
          I'll be interested to see…

What did they compare them to?

        • +1

@divious: …upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling towards freedom!

        • +7

@spaij: Theres links in other Chinlaloops deals on here if you search you will find. Its been done to death.

Otherwise, BLF, CPF to name a few sites. The Chinese loops lose ability to cycle after less than 500 cycles, not 1800 as the Sanyo Loops do, let alone the 2100 the Panasonic ones claim. More importantly, they cant deliver current in the same league, let alone for sustained periods. The Jap Panasonics are great, the Chinese ones are garbage. We in Aus, now get Chinese.

Believe me or dont. I own probably 40 of the Japanese Loops as well as Japanese and Korean Li Ions and various primary lithiums, and about 30 flashlights to play with them in and half dozen chargers. Im not completely uninformed on the subject.

    • Is this smart charger?

    • -5

was able to get 5 QC packs in Williams Landing. ;-)

      • +2

        Great job broden.

  • +2

Whoaa it's on! Grabbed a couple of the 8 Packs and a QC+4Pack, cheers!

Edit: I feel the Eneloop end is nigh. Sadness.

    4 x AA + 4 x AAA Combo Pack item has gone for 3019.

Bought 2 x Quick Charger with AA 4 Pack. Though I already have the charger.

    Thanks OP

  • Seems to be bugger all stock at every store I've checked. No delivery available either :(

    • +1

Plenty of Stock at Nerang Q, was only looking ath them instore yesterday wondering when the price would drop…
Or there was, may not be soon.

  • +3

Stock @ coffs harbour store. Got charger pack and 8 battery pack. Cheers op

    • On my way…..cheers.

      Hope you left me some.

      (Sanyo or Panasonic?)

    • Where was the charger? Loads of 8 packs, no charger

      • Same. Heaps of the 8 packs on the end of a corner. No actual charger that i could see.

        • I clicked and collected charger pack instead of hoping there was stock left on the shelf!
Store showing no stock online for charger pack now

        • @51kabunka:

          There was only one charger.
Sold to a guy named Mark.

Apparently 9 other C&C all going to be refunded.
Also did C&C, and went straight in store after……

Unless your Mark, no chance getting the cHrger.

        • @albanyson: Yeah, i got a call from them saying they are refunding the rechargers. Oh wellz

        • @sund00bie:

I picked up 2 x8 packs anyway. Wondering where I get a charger from now.

        • Update
          4x twin packs left
          26x 8 mixed packs left
          No charger packs
          @11am coffs harbour store

        • @albanyson:
          That must be me then!
          Super lucky on this occasion

        • +1

          @51kabunka:

Lucky! I almost convinced them to give to me since I was in store? 😄
8 pack is better value than the twin pack for $5

    • Just bought a few 8 packs from coffs store still at least 20 or 30 plus maybe 10+ of the aaa 4 packs at 4pm. Store is pretty quiet too so don't stress if you can't get there until after work.

      • Any chargers in Coffs?

        • Didn't see any there. The batteries weren't that visible either, they're on the back side of the torch display with the aaa's packs next to the torches (not advertised on special either).

        • No chargers

  • +2

Thanks op, managed to order a quick charger and a 8 pack

The IKEA Smart Charger perfectly complements your Eneloops; probably the best value Smart Charger.

    http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40241314/

    • yea but its a bit slow!

      • It says maximum 2.5hrs. The Eneloop one is only 2hrs. Not much of a difference, though I think I'd still prefer the branded eneloop one.

        • That depends on a lot of things like the capacity of the battery and the condition of the batteries…

        • -1

@kevlarman: Yea HKJ review. But for the same price you can buy the Nitecore I4 it can charge many different cells. this charger is 1 amp her slot so not to bad…

        • +2

          @aussieprepper:

I agree, however if you have an IKEA nearby and just need a good-quality inexpensive charger, it's your best bet.

        • @kevlarman: Yea mate no doubt cheaper then the eneloop chargers!

        • The standard Eneloop charger is a quick charger meaning it will not stop charging when battery is full.

        • @CLoSeR: so not any better than an 8 hour slow charger for battery care?

        • @Juice08: Smart chargers at a lower MAH will be better for batteries long life

      • Not in my experience, usually charged up in under 2 hours.

  • sorry guys - what is the link to the quick charger?
Can't find it on the site?

    • +3

I believe that means it is sold out at your local store

    • ^ Correct

As soon as you set your store, the add to cart button or the whole item disappears.

Now I'm on the lookout for a charger too.

  • +33

Eneloop - the charge lasts longer then the stores that sell them.

  • +3

had a quick charger in my cart. went to pay. out of stock. east hawthorn. you know who you are.

actually, my fault for signing up the newsletter to get a 5% discount.

  • I think the Panasonic eneloop pro's are still made in Japan
    Correct me if I'm wrong
Should say so on the pack
Also online ordering at masters is from a central warehouse so there should still be stock in-store
That one is a guess based on staff comment last time I tried to get a store to match their online price of eneloops

    • +2

To clarify, all Masters Online orders go directly to stores and are picked from store stock not from a warehouse, you may be getting confused with Big W.

      • What are the chances that stock can be bought off the floor before a online order is picked? Seems I got the last charger at my local.

        • +2

          vroooooom, and I'm off

        • +4

          100% chance

One of the reasons Masters is failure.

        • Just received ready for pick up confirmation.

        • @Junk Collection: Last online purchase i made i also received the email for pick up. Went in store and it was still on the floor…

    • +2

      Yep, pros are Jap made.

  • My first Envelop purchase! I feel so common now.

        Ok thanks again

  • -2

I don't even need any more batteries but I still bought…why.

    • +2

It gives your charger something to do?
Remember half price electricity after 9 pm

      • Thank you. I'll be sure to power the house with eneloops during peak times and charge them during non-peak. Half price electricity for life! :)

        • Isn't that what those Tesla power banks do
Perhaps if master's stocked these we could not buy them till they put them on clearance too

        • +2

@Beach Bum: Unless they are made in China…

    • I was just about as well, then recalled i had an 8 combo still unopened, already gave 1 set away

Master Keysborough and Dandenong South (VIC) still have stock, just bought 2x Panasonic Eneloop Rechargeable AA and AAA Batteries 8 Pack. Thanks OP.

    • did you see any chargers left?

      • edit: Keysborough all sold out when I went in and asked at 10am

      • no, even at 8:20 AM, I didn't see any charger in stock

        • oh wow. I guess I'll just continue to be an OZB who hasn't bought any eneloops.

  • Cheers, picked up some online + an extra 5% off for signing up to their newsletter.

  • +2

Thanks! Bought the charger and 4+4 pack for C&C.
Welcome me to the eneloop clan :)

  • +2

For those that ordered online I won't hold your hopes up that you will receive your orders. People will buy the stock in store even before your orders are filled.

    • +2

Just got notified that my order is ready for collection so…

      • That's great. I was meant to say some may miss out, not everyone.

  • +2

Eneloops will never go out of fashion on ozbargain. I missed out but that charger combo is insane value.
