    lol

  • +1 for your efforts but wastage of $34.50

    • Depends what you use it for, the youtube review in my description says that is very usable as a basic phone.
Don't forget under Australian law you can return it for a full refund if it's not fit for purpose.

The Coles Staff are trained to say NO to prepaid phone refunds. Don't buy this thinking that Coles is going to easily give you an exchange - they won't.

full refund if it's not fit for purpose.

That's only if the phone is broken and is not of merchantable quality. OR it might be advertised wrongly (e.g box did not mention phone was locked and you bought it thinking it was unlocked)

You are taking a very liberal meaning of fit for purpose. If you bought a phone with slow-ass processor and not enough RAM to handle your needs, that doesn't make it 'unfit for purpose' in a legal sense, only that it just doesn't meet your expectations.

If you took it back that is considered a change of mind return. The retailer has the right not to refund you if that's the case.

        • Yes I totally agree, there has to be something wrong with the phone in order to return it.

Took two when they were basically free. Wanted to give one to older person as a Skype/Hangouts, internet, free overseas calling, smart first 6, android phone, instead of an old Nokia. It doesn't have front camera so it isn't too good for my purpose. Aand any other I think… Maybe I am spoiled with flagships but this is horrible to use. Absolutely wouldn't buy it even at this half-price. (But simlock codes from e-bay works, and I was even able to set Polish language that wasn't available using MoreLocale 2 app).

    • Use back camera with a small mirror for Skype.. Lolz.

Will I also got 2 when they were free. Not worth $34. But they are good for GPS purpose with offline maps.

  • surprised they got suckers to buy this at $70

  • Y635 is $69 at Coles, why buy this?

    • I am going to buy it for when I am going out as I only need it for calls and messaging, I hate carrying around my big expensive phone and have to take it out of my jeans everytime I sit down as I am worried sick it's going to crack. This is nice and compact and for $34.50, I don't have to worry about it.

      • This is why I believe 4.7" is a good size

But that's not what she said.

      • Get the pixi 3 4.0. Exact same phone but with a flash. Often $19 @ WOOLIES

I know people are trying to combat the negativity on this site by being nice and not down voting the deal, and of course we all appreciate the effort that goes into deals and wish the OP many more deals, but this is a shit deal and I am negging. Have we really come to the stage where we are that politically correct we can't do that?

    • Nothing to do with being politically correct.

Its the way the site is set up. Negative votes isnt to indicate someone doesnt like the product, its to do with the deal. Is it flawed or dangerous etc

Good deals get votes poor ones get no votes - simple

If you want to change the way the site operates, contact the moderators or Scotty and tell him the way he set it up sucks.

Also nothing to do with being polite etc

      • Do what you want boo.

I dont downvote people who post this stuff. Slag the phone not the poster.

These phones are fine for people of the Breaking Bad vein.

        • Yeah but we never down vote people, only deals.

The phones sucks for the money, there's way better phones available all the time that are cheaper, so is the deal worthwhile? No, no one should buy it, buy any other phone for the money

        • @Jackson: Then help people properly. Please give some examples of better priced phones. that way everyone gains. I for 1 would be very interested

        • @RockyRaccoon: http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/optus-alcat…

Pretty sure thats a better deal, it's out of stock now but it was posted a couple of weeks ago I believe. Even the more expensive 4.5" model was 29 at the time. Anyone who waits a couple of weeks is bound to get something better than this

This is available for an extra 4 bucks fifty not even on sale: http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/m20ProductDisplayView?cat…

I don't think "half price" is a true indication of what this is worth

        • @Jackson: Thank you, but only extra issue is that the person I wanted this for is on Vodafone. They are looking for a phone that is effectively a big button phone only. So these are the boundaries that affect the choice. Any further advice would be appreciated

        • +1

@RockyRaccoon: you can unlock these phones for a couple of dollars or thereabouts on ebay. BTW I also bought a similar special phone from Dick Smith yesterday for 14 bucks (boost, so Optus)
