Yes, there is a $59 annual fee but the cashback is not restricted to paywave transactions so it could be used for larger purchases.

Up to $300 cash back with 5% cash back on eligible purchases for the first 3 months. New customers only. Monthly cap, min. monthly spend and T&Cs apply.

    I have been looking for a decent 5% cashback card but if its only for 3 months I'm not sure its worth the hassle.
    Citibank won't let me get theirs because I have an existing account.

          @abc: I only have a Citi Visa Debit card and only use it when I go overseas - so it doesn't get much use.

      I had a really long chat with one of Bankwest staff a few months ago trying to weasel my way out of a credit card renewal fee with Bankwest.

      The short of it is - Bankwest have zero options in terms of giving sweeteners to retain existing customers. They give no shits if you close up and move on - end of story!
