    Been thinking of buying one of these.
    Price is ok but not a bargain as I can walk down 50m to JB and can choose a range of netbooks from Acer to Samsung with exact specs on Special starting from $420.
    If you had it at that price and included the iPod Speakers previously then you've got a Positive from me as well as a Sale. :-)

    This offer is good, 3 Yr Warranty from Toshiba is worth about $99 and the product from Austin is different, only has 160GB HDD. Might be an import - doesn't show on Toshiba site with a 160GB HDD. And comparing a Toshiba with an Acer is like comparing a BMW with Kia.

      Agree on the comparing Acer to Toshiba, except for the fact the ex service manager for Acer is now the Toshiba one or was a couple of years ago.

        I wasn't directly comparing Acers with Toshibas. I was just saying there were a whole range of netbooks that were on special. I heard Samsungs were pretty good though.

        At least I wasn't comparing Toshibas with HPs and Dells :-)

        The bad service is because of the the company, not the people. :) e.g. If you live in melbourne, its like connex and metro (still the same people, same lame transport system, just different name).

    Agreed, bit overpriced considering some of the netbook deals that have been around lately, particularly the HN one of course.

    Why would you want 3 years warranty for a netbook? Maximum you would keep a netbook is probably around a year and a half, at which point you'll probably want a new one for the better battery life and superior processor.

    Around the 2nd year of ownership you'll probably get fed up of it's decreasing battery life and small screen resolution.
