    Good deal however that keyboard looks incredibly mushy.

    I got a nicer keyboard (A4 Tech but the keys are more tactile and defined) for $2 from MSY last year.

    It is a bargain, but if I've learned anything over many years of computing, the parts of a computer you interact with are the parts worth spending money on.

    My first PC I spent all the money on innards and got the cheapest possible mouse, keyboard, monitor and speakers, but over time I found it was well worth getting quality ones.

    I looked these a few weeks ago at my local Target. They are nasty.

    Whilst OK as a temporary spare, it's similar to toilet paper - not something where "cheaper is better".

    They also have the wireless mouse for $0.50, bought one a few days ago and it has already stopped working.

    Not too sure how good the wired keyboards are however.

    The first thing I thought of when I saw the photo of the keyboard was playing Scrabble.

    I bought a $3 black AV Labs one from Harvey Norman back in January and by two months later half the key markings were worn off. I tried replacing with characters with liquid paper but that lasted a day or two and probably made me a little sick.
