Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 1 FREE on US iTunes Store (US Account Required) (Normally $34.99 on The AU iTunes Store)

120

One of the best new shows of the year. Critically acclaimed by … well … critics.

Synopsis: Rebecca Bunch was working hard in a New York job making dough but it made her blue. One day she was crying a lot, so she decided to move to West Covina, California. Brand new pals and new career. It happens to be where her ex-boyfriend Josh lives, but that's not why she's here.

Currently showing on Thursday nights on channel 11 but if you can't wait for the rest of the season or have missed any episodes, the complete Season 1 of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is available for free from iTunes US store. If you haven't seen it yet think a mix between Flight of the Concords and 30 Rock.

I challenge anyone to watch the first episode and not have West Covina stuck in their head for a couple of days.

Am I the only one who thought it was just ok?

I thought it was a lame show

i downloaded it for free via torrents when it first came out…. and i felt ripped off then….

        • +4

..and you called up the producers & demanded your bandwidth back?

    • Nope you're not…I watched the first couple of episodes and just thought it was too over the top.. I then gave it a second chance and watched a couple more but just couldn't get into it. Don't get it how it's critically acclaimed the best new show of the year

      • Don't get it how it's critically acclaimed

i dont either…. but the only way i can explain it is that most of these shitty "free" steam games posted have a 70% positive rating yet are completely shit and not even worth downloading.

i think there is a lot of market manipulation?

I like the show. I think if you're male and not into musicals, you would not like this show. The musical numbers are witty and fit into the show very well, they're clearly made to fit the plot, not the other way round like in glee which compromises the plot.

Hard not to hear the theme song when youre reading it.

So many good songs always stuck in my head.

  • Can also watch the recent Aussies from season 2015 on the Channel 10 app called tenplay. Currently showing episodes 10, 11, 12, 13, but if they show episode 14 on air, it will be available for free streaming for a month, as with all channel ten/eleven shows. Note that there's no chromecast support.

Noob question - how do you guys access an item that is only available on the US iTunes Store? Create a separate iTunes account?

    Thanks for any pointers here.

    • +1

Yep. You will need a separate email address. Also, if you download anything, Apple may lock your computer from downloading anything else under another account for a number of days. Damn Apple.

      • Thanks for the tip.

Does the lockout also affect iPhones? It would be pretty annoying to be locked out of the AU iTunes Store, even if it's only temporary.
