Nice work, I bought these 3 weeks ago and installed them already.. :(
They are worth it at full price, great bargain!

    • Are these easy to install?

      • Very easy - especially if you have an extra pair of hands available to hold them in place when attaching them

      • Yeah mate, super easy, PM me if you buy them and need any tips

        • Thanks guys. Winter is almost here in the nation's capital. Good to install these blinds so we can still go outdoors and not stay cooped up all day.

        • Hi Ozy,

Do you install them in the beam or the brick wall??

        • @ozy: nice thanks!

I will have to have them on the beam too…but one more question…in your picture…is there something in the middle between the 2 blinds (like a pillar or something)

        • @arnomic: yeah, theres two blinds in the picture, 3mtrs each.
When you buy them you have an option (in the same isle) to buy tracks for the sides (pieces of metal stripping)
You attach the sides to the tracks and the tracks to a pole/pillar so you can use the zips on the side incase of strong winds.

You can just use the supplied anchor points to lock it down but it looks much prettier using the tracks ($16 each)

Edit: I feel Bunnings should pay me an endorsement fee LOL
But we are all here to help each other so good luck and let me know if i can help

        • @ozy:

thanks man! wonder how I can install these …the area is about 4.2 mtrs wide n there is no pillar in the middle

        • @arnomic: they come in different lengths, maybe just install a steel pole inbetween two 2mtr blinds?

  • Vendor in title please.

I purchased these for our patio from Bunnings - got them custom made to fit.

Ours only lasted around 2 years before I ripped them all down as they looked like crap. The plastic had dis-coloured and gone brittle, they started to gets cracks in them and the metal fixings were all showing signs of rust.

Ours were in full sun for half the day. If you don't have them in full sunlight and the elements, you might get a little more life out of them

  • I am wondering are they UV-stable under the hot climate weather in QLD region ? It doesn't state it anywhere on website.

  • Installed these as a wind breaker for my verandah and they are bloody amazing, great investment and an even greater price now, damn..

  • Watch for these at Aldi, same blinds, same spec, much cheaper - $50 last year.

    Oops, that was in 2014.

  • Thanks OP!

Now I just need a bargain for a patio and paving :/

  • Just saw Spotlight junk mail.
    $82.99 for the 240 X 240 cm (0.7mm) Caprice brand.
Other sizes too. On sale 11 - 29 May

  • Damn I need a 300mm one and it's not reduced :(

  • Can anyone comment on the Spotlight Caprice brand vs The Bunnings one?
