Pretty good deal. 16GB tho but with microsd slot, it ain't so bad.

    Actually… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/248460

    Cheaper deal here.

Add in 7% cashback from TopCashBack with AliExpress.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/248608

Also to note: Phone doesn't support band 28 / 700mhz on Australian mobile network.
Well almost all Chinese phones don't anyway but just something to consider.

    • You linked to cheaper but up voted? :/

      • +1

I found the cheaper deal after i upvoted.

        Revoked anyway. Thanks for reminding.

  • +1

Is there any advantage to buying through you when aliexpress is $20 cheaper?

    • Difficult to say when you don't post a link to this aliexpress deal.

      • +4

What do you mean "it"? You picked the expensive one.

Here it is for US $159.99 delivered in any colour:

        • -1

          You're forgetting postage of US$19.16

        • +7
        • -3

Aliexpress have 5different models for same phone. Don't know what's the different between those.

        • +7

          @monty.melb:

What on Earth are you talking about? It is the same device sold by different providers.

Aliexpress is $20 cheaper than you. How is this a bargain? Unless you have express postage or something. You've still failed to declare why I should buy from you over them.

        • -1

          @watwatwat:

It is the same device with different ROM (software)

          Check all with 16GB ROM

        • +4

          @monty.melb:

Yes, you're right. All running MUIU.

      • That's misleading, if you take into consideration the cashback that plasmoske posted

        • +2

Uhh aliexpress also has the cashback.

        • @watwatwat: didnt see that posted below and didnt check, my bad

        • @sk3iron:

Well your 2 comments in this thread are now both wrong because you didn't read the link.

        • +5

@watwatwat: AliExpress has 7% cashback at the moment through Top Cashback then you could also get the $10USD refer a friend bonus as well. Besides OP does not seem to know how Aliexpress works yet he has a store running from China.

What's the value feature of this phone?

    • +1

MASSIVE battery, cheap price, decent enough speed and solid build quality mainly.

Screen is semi decent. Camera is average.
      Speakers average.

OS can be a plus or minus. It's MIUI running on top of Android Lollipop.

There's custom ROMS out there though…

      • +1

a 4000mAh battery isn't that big, and the CPU speed, RAM and HDD aren't that big either, so the price is quite expensive for those specs. The missing band is discouraging too. Look at the Leeco LETV LE 1 Pro for slightly more with only B7 missing, or the Asus Zenfone 2 with nothing missing.

        • +1

          Well it is massive because

          4000mAh and only 1080p screen.

          Your link is:

3000mAh and 2K Quad HD screen.

More demanding screen and smaller battery means that it'll run out of battery faster.

On Reviews, everybody says that Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is a beast in the battery department.

Yes there are better phones out there for a higher price but this is still a solid phone for those who don't want to pay too much. For example, it's a great phone for my mother. MIUI is a simple OS and phone is fairly easy to use.

        • @plasmoske: I agree the screen is less demanding, and 1080p does the job. I'm interested to see the endurance rating. Having more battery is a great convenience so you don't need to keep your power bank charging it.

However, the $240 price for the CPU, RAM, HDD; is still quite expensive when a $20 power bank solves the battery issue.

How is it that altomic can explain the discount procedure better than the store rep?

Anyway, nothing to see here, just buy from AliExpress where it's cheaper…

And no need to write everything in 'heading' size!

  • +6

Sorry Monty, but watwatwat is right :/

  • Bring good mi5 deal please! this model does not have 4g/3g dual stand by feature.

mi5 however can allow one sim at 4g to use data and the other still at 3g to receive calls.

  • Sooner use Ali Exp for Pro RN3 32GB US*195-190 model now near end of its discount

A nothing premium for the quite boosted spec. Post TopCB 195*.93) *(100/72): to get
AU 251 which should be the new optimal target here: assumed aud won't get lower in the toilet than already atm (72c from 78 21/4).

So far, seems like patience has been rewarded. But can this extend to a UI 8 rendered- android 6.0 eofy updated batches?

  • +3

Yup and instead of looking at price, look at the internet, it is littered with horror stories dealing with Everbuying/Gearbest etc , in my opinion these guys are the same people as Gearbest who have been banned from OZBargain,

If you should receive a faulty product then good luck with the return. I can't talk for AlliExpres and what would happen with a return with them, but I would give Everbuying a wide berth.

    • +2

so far i've received all of my 50+ items purchased from everbuying, decent delivery time (to Sydney, free delivery, don't know how they did it coz they're using Netherland Post.nl or German postal service), great discounts (store disc, new signup disc, mobile site disc etc.) and their xiaomi product is genuine.. can recommend

    • Amen.

  • Hi guys just reminder if you purchase from oversea or oversea based transaction do not use ing as you may get charge for international fee or something that happen last time when i buy ink from aliexpress. Not sure everbuying is oversea based transaction. Correct me if im wrong as i did once before usually st george no such fee being charged but first time ing i got charged.

    • Try using the Aliexpress app, it's usually cheaper and for some reason (for me anyway) doesn't charge an international transaction fee to the card that I use - but does when using the website

  • +1

    Cheaper on AliExpress

  • +3

Hey guys, just a comment on the phone itself not the deal. Bought the 32GB version from Everybuying with DHL express, came quickly but at a slight premium.

This phone is damn awesome for the price! Build quality is great, and it runs so smoothly. Battery is lasting me 2+ days with moderate use.
Camera could be better, the stock camera app made everything look really dull. I'm using Open Camera at the moment and it's made everything look much nicer.
MiUi isn't as bad as I thought it'd be, easy to customise and use. The only thing bothering me is the need to swipe down the status bar to see notifications.

Highly recommend this phone if you're on a budget. Don't think you can get much better at the same price point.

    • Yeah it's a pretty decent phone for the price.

If they had a stable custom ROM with everything working, I'd be all over it.

  • +1

I own a xiaomi redmi note 3 pro 32GB phone. I guess there's a major bug with the charging system. It works fine with the xiaomi provided charger, but when plugged in to a USB cable for charging with my PC, fek! it DISCHARGES instead of charging!

I tried turning off the phone and plugging in; funny thing is i can see the green battery charging animation but being connected for about 1 hour now, it's gone down from 25% to 23%! This is really frustrating!

Other than this no other complains (except for the camera which is below avg for a 16MP camera, IMO).

  • +1

A bit more for a 3/32gb version,Aliexpress is cheaper. It's just two dollar's under Vickmall's regular, non sale price.

    Where's the deal?

  • +1

Lol how convenient, when coupon codes expire the price drops to US$188 before the new account/mobile site hack.

    What a joke.
