  • It will be version 10 next year.

  • Still waiting for a deal on the 32GB version

    • +3

I have checked with the company. they don't have enough stock to put here as a deal, as soon as they get more stock I will post the deal.

      • +1

Do you know approximately when? Might grab the 2gb version if it's a while. Thanks

        • +5

Not sure yet. Will ask them tomorrow and let you know.

        • +1

          @monty.melb:
waiting for 32G version sales as well

        • @monty.melb: any updates on 32G version?

        • @monty.melb:

          32gb deal?

  • +5

i have the Mi IV headphones and they are a decent step up from the mi IIs that i bought a year ago. good brand

    • +2

The built-in mic is miles ahead of the built-in one on my Nexus 5.

      • +2

Amen brother. I really like my 5, but the mic is completely abhorrent.

    • Do the mic controls work with android phones?

      • +1

The volume and mic buttons all work on my LG G4, so I'd imagine they'd be fine for most Android devices

      • Should be fine. They've worked on every Android phone I've tested.

      • +1

Works on my Nexus 5/Lumia 640.

        • Wow, Lumia 640 too, might have to pull the trigger.

    • What is the main difference in your opinion?
I have the piston 2's, still sounding great. Can't justify upgrading them, no matter how tempting…

      • +1

The main difference is that they're slightly heavier on the bass than the Piston II/III. Less reference sounding, more "V" shaped response.

        • +2

          Thanks.
I actually found the II's quite V-shaped already. The bass is certainly strong. Might hold off for a while.

    • Are they better than Piston 2 and 3?

      • It's all subjective depending on what you like, but I think they are better than the IIIs. For $20 you might as well get some haha.

    • +1

I'm loving these headphones too, using them right now. I had the Piston 1 before that (because there was a deal where they were $6). The Mi IVs are the best cheap pair I've ever had.

  • Damn I paid $225 AUD two weeks ago from aliexpress :( Anyway, great price!

  • Can you please do a coupon for the Piston 3.

    • +3

Sure If they have enough stock then I will add to next post.

      • So do they have enough stock :D?

    • Why do you want the 3s? I find the 4s to be much better.

      • +3

I've had the 2 and 3 and my favourite is the 3. I find the 2 better than the four.

The 4 distorts at high levels and the build quality feels worse than the three.

I'm not audiophile so it's hard to explain the differences in sound but there's just something about the sound of the 4 that I don't like.

        • Fair enough. What you hear is subjective, some people will prefer one type of ear/headphone over another.

        • +1

          @ilikeradiohead

Indeed. Quite a few people don't like the IV from what I've read.

        • That's great feedback. I ordered 2 of the IIIs a few weeks back. I thought my ATH M50s were bass heavy until I put on the IIIs. I might just skip on the IVs then, as I found the clarity of the IIIs were a bit missing unless you adjust the EQ.

  • Ordered the headphones from the deal nearly three weeks ago.. no sighting of it yet :(
anyone knows how long does it take for them to ship stuff over?

    • +3

At 3 weeks….it is just reached the Mekong Delta by boat.

    • +2

I ordered a pair of hybrids on 7th May from Everbuying via this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/245647 and I was very impressed to find that they only took 2 weeks to arrive.

I managed to buy them for only AUD $16.61. Now this was a bargain price.

I highly recommend the hybrids. They sound amazing for the price. Far superior to my Korean brand Feels Pro 900.

      • where are u at ? is it delivered by auspost? Or some random delivery courier?

        • Metro Sydney. Not sure if it was auspost or courier. It was the free delivery option. Wife found parcel in the letter box and she was concerned and thought they should have been delivered to the front door.

    • I ordered some 4s on May 3 and got them about 2 weeks later. In metro Perth.

  • +1

    A bit of help please…

How do these Piston Hybrids differ from those of this deal.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/242019

These ones today are listed as Balanced Armature, I have learned to stay away from those after my Sony XBA3 episode.

    • +1

Since BAs (Balanced Armatures) are a type of technology you can use instead of dynamic drivers, I kinda think it's more of what companies do with them that makes it work or not work.

Piston Hybrids use both BA and dynamic drivers (hence hybrid), I believe the configuration was 1 BA unit and a dynamic driver unit.

      • OK cheers..then these are a great set for the price.

        • Wouldn't judge the headphone like that, since the BA unit they've used were their own priopriety one (in that they made the unit, unlike many other IEMs in the market) and blah. Besides, it's just the tech they've used, BA do not guarantee anything (other than possibly smaller unit), just like how you cannot say how all earphones or headphones with dynamic driver sounds just from listening to one that uses that.

I personally didn't like how Piston Hybrid sounded, that said, I do know that my preference is very different from many ozbargainers, so take that with a pinch of salt.

        • @Oversimplified: I'm with you, I bought a pair of these recently and whilst they are wonderfully comfortable I was disappointed in how they sounded.

    • Pretty sure they are same model Hybrid Mi IV

    • What happened with your xba3?

      • I bought the XBA3s from the Sony Store sale many moons ago.

When I tried them they sounded awful, went to the Sony shop who explained something about ohms resistance…my device can't handle it etc etc.

  • +2

Headset price gone up to 23AUD after the coupon?

    • Yep, Just tried it too and got $23 after coupon

But it's less if you sign up for a new account which is $2 off, then if you use the mobile app to check out, the OP isn't clear enough with that instruction to get this price

    • getting the same but maybe it's because im not using a new signup account?

edit: aw i should refresh before commenting lol

    • If you sign up for new account then you will get it for AU$19.96.

  • +1

Thank you Monty, just ordered the earphones. At this price, couldn't not pick one up.

    • Agree. Great price :)

  • +2

Great for the price. Got these about a month ago and am quite impressed with the sound as they're really clean; not muddy, tinny, or obnoxiously bassy like other cheap ones I've tried.

  • +1

Just when I needed some headphones. I'll be back to take away my upvote if they turn out crap!

  • Bugger, I just bought those Mi IV Hybrid's for $35 with express shipping earlier today, for $19 I might just buy a second pair though…

  • +6

I know it's the norm to not bother reading T&Cs when buying stuff online most of the time, but out of curiosity I've decided to quickly check some of Everbuying's conditions on the sign up page. This part has caught my attention:

    Risk of loss

All items purchased from EverBuying.net are made pursuant to a shipping contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

Both parties agree that, following order dispatch, transportation is the sole responsibility of the third-party logistics company. During this stage, full ownership of the product(s) belongs to the buyer; all associated liability and risks during transportation shall be borne by the buyer.

Really? If I purchase stuff from them and the carrier they dispatch it with loses or damages it they take no responsibility at all and I am on my own? What kind of condition is that? Or they aren't interested in repeat customers?

    • +10

Thank you for pointing this out. Was about to buy earphones but this is a deal breaker for me. Neverbuying with a condition like that.

      • +2

I was going to make a purchase too and somehow thought to quickly read their T&Cs. Seeing that clause in their terms changed my mind. Can't be bothered with contacting and going back and forth with an overseas seller about lost/damaged goods. If a company/business/seller is outside Australia then I better have a good protection, like those big companies which have names/brands to look after and that won't throw all responsibility on the customer.

"Neverbuying with a condition like that".

        Good one. lol

    • +1

That's why you pay through using credit card through PayPal,

Bought one xiaomi hybrid. Good deal but OP's instruction wasnt very clear. Coupon code didnt really bring the price down much but it is the new user credit that gave the most discount.

  • Purchased !! =) $21.23 total

  • I just received my hybrid IVs, the volume rocker doesn't work and i've had 2 electric shocks from the earpieces with 2 days use.
The sound quality is great, I hope I just received a bad pair.

    • I also could not get the volume rocker to work but then I am not sure if it is due to the phone I am using (a Nexus 4) or if they are faulty. In any case, I have no plans to use them with my phone. Wish they made a pair without the remote. I have been using them connected to my computer and iPod and the sound quality is superb.

  • -2

What is the best replacement for my OnePlusOne with 64GB/3Gb for around $400? cheers.

  • Too bad I locked myself with this deal before https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/247484 :( will try to ask my partner to swing from Apple to this one!

  • Bought a pair last year, the earphone started leaking electricity or small static charges after about 8 months when I was using it for the PS4.

Not a good feeling at all being shocked.

  • Are the Mi IV's a step up from the piston 3s?

    • Apparently the piston 3's sound signature is more balanced and the hybrids have a more pronounced V signature with the mids being more murky. I got the 3's but I'm still getting one hybrid as this deal is pretty cheap for a spare.

    • People getting zapped and other comments don't seen to success that.

  • +2

I bought these headphones from Everbuying. They took 2 weeks to arrive.

They sound better than both my Brainwavz R1's and my LG Quadbeats. They have good punchy bass, but it is balanced well with decent mid range and treble. For the price, they are pretty damn awesome.

The headphone remote works fine with my LG G3.

  • Good price for the hybrids… tempted to get a pair but i recently got my piston 3 so i don't need it… times like this, i wanna yell "DAMN YOU OZBARGAIN, but i still love you"

  • +1

    Redmi Note 3 Pro 32gb please =( !!!

  • +1

yeah holding out for the 32GB

    My requirements are basically

    • <$300 (pref <250 AUD)
    • 2 sim cards
    • if not 32GB, then SD card
    • the 3/32 has been about $270 a couple times.

  • -4

Lots of liars on this board. Just received my hybrids after hearing about how good it is and how much better it is then the sennheisers CXIII-2. These hybrid just prod right into your ear and doesn't have a comparable base

    • +1

Did you buy from ever buying? Could you check if it is genuine? There are lots of fakes floating around and it is my concern as it is my first purchase with these guys.

      • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/243388 got it from here. Same store I believe! Don't get me wrong it does sound okay but not as good as everyone is suggesting! It sounds very muddy. Almost time listening to music underwater

        • I also have the cxIII and xiaomi piston 3. Both have great bass but I find the cxIII more murky in the mids and highs. Unless xiaomi hybrid is a step down from 3's then it could be an isolated issue with yours. I did some research before buying this deal. The hybrids seem to have some QA problems (eg electric shocks, one side not working, no bass, etc). So definitely some concerns there but we'll see how it goes when I get mine in 3 weeks time.

        • @KaTst3R:

Let us know how it goes! And how you think it compares to the sennheisers. Can't tell if it's my ears . The hybrids are good with the treble though

      • I bought mine recently from Everbuying and they are genuine. They have a sticker on the cord with a QR code which you can scan which sends you to a website to verify their authenticity.

        • Good to hear !

    • No bass? Strange. Are you getting a good seal with the eartips? Maybe try different size eartips. Many reviews comment on their bass. See here for example:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/jerry-chong/xiaomi-in-ear-hea… and http://www.head-fi.org/products/xiaomi-mi-hybrid-earphone-in…. Maybe yours could be faulty.

      • Maybe it's to early for me to judge but How long do they take to break into?? I been using it for 2 days for about 8 hours each day. I'm comparing to the sennheisers cxIII-2

        • Breaking in doesn't magically give you 50% more bass. It just refines the sound a little but if yours has no bass to start, you should contact customer service. And also as Rodo says, finding the right tip is important as I know for mine, if I use one size smaller I won't any bass either.

        • I have only been using mine for 2 days too. You can check reviews but I think burn-in time is around 100 hours and after that the sound improves but in saying that, in my opinion, they sound great even without burn-in.

    • I didn't like the sound of the Hybrids either, they also distorted heavily at higher volumes. My Piston 2 and 3 sounded much better and didn't suffer from distortion.

Also, my new HTC 10 IEM's sound much better than the Hybrids, possibly even better than the 2 and 3 however I've lost them.

  • Any chance of adding a wireless earbud/earphone?

  • OP, I originally registered at Everbuying like a month ago, stating new users get 100 EB points added to their account. When I log in, there's a banner on my login page saying I have 100EB points awarded but the actual points on my account are only 30 (because I uploaded a profile picture and linked accounts/etc). Why aren't the additional 100 points showing up? I tried both a windows PC and android mobile device, same deal. I also don't see any options when checking out where I can use my EB points. I raised a ticket to your tech support at the time but never heard back apart from a "We will contact you within 2 days" e-mail. What gives?

    • Have ordered anything from your account ?

      • Nope, was waiting for these EB points to appear but they never did so I didn't bother. Was considering doing it for the Hybrids but nothing's changed in my account.

    • Hello Russticles,

Sorry to hear about your problems.

Could you PM me your account name and ticket number? I'll help deal with your problem ASAP.

Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

      Becky

  • I went through the mobile site with a new account as per the instructions, but the Redmi Note 3 Pro is still showing up as $219 for me (should be $205 according to the post). Anyone know why this may be? Thanks!

  • Not sure what I am doing wrong, I :

Single unit pricing will be applied with coupon codes; coupons cannot be used with VIP price, promotion prices, special offer prices, or a group deal at the same time.
Click here to cancel coupon code

Then the price went from $23.27 to $23.

    Have I missed a step?

    • Yes you need to order through mobile site m.everbuying.net

      • +1

Sorry…I did order through the mobile site.

I searched for Hybrid and then added that to cart manually.

      • They key here is that itsnfor new accounts only. Go through checkout, it will take off almost $3 and then 2% discount on mobile site

  • 209 for the 16gb note 3 is great, I got mine when it was $235, been a fantastic phone so far

    • How did you find the camera on this phone? Thanks!

      • +1

So-so. Its fine out in the light, but in low lighting its pretty crap. Its definitely not the best camera on the market, but for a $200 phone I think its above average

        • Awesome. Thanks for the reply.

  • Is www.everbuying.net 's payment portal considered a international merchant when paying through Paypal?

I got charged International Transaction Fee by my CC recently because the claimed the merchant was from overseas even though I paid with Paypal.
