is it a 3.5 or 2.5 inch drive? if its a 3.5" its not worth it

    • It DOES say 'Portable'.

  • +2

If you bothered to open the photo, you would have seen its 2.5"

  • It's 2.5inch. Good price but I don't really need that much space on a pocket drive.

  • looks like good value to me.

  • wait so if its normally $129 at officeworks, and the special is for $127 at Harvey Norman, then the saving of $2 constitutes a deal?

    • +1

the officeworks one is already a bargain, now $2 less is even more a bargain nonetheless

      • at officeworks it was $169 up until a week or two ago…

        • +1

I guess now with the officeworks price match guarantee, it will be $127 - 5% = $120.65

  • Pricematch at officeworks can get $120.65…

  • can you strip it and use it in a ps3 or is it one of those all in one units inside?

    • I think it's all in one…..seems smaller than the average 2.5 drive

    • negative. WD use their own connections.

      • And even if it wasn't, the 750GB drives are physically thicker and wouldn't fit anyway.

        • This message is brought to you by my new 9.5mm WD7500BPVT :)

$135 from Online Computer in Sydney CBD for anyone who wants a cheap 750GB for internal use.

          • @Jabba the Hutt: Niiiiiiiiice, hadn't seen them yet.

            That gives me a happy.

          • @Jabba the Hutt: Was just packing away my receipt and the price was actually $145. Hope no one was misled.

    • No you can't. But you can use it for the Wii. :D

    • This is a straight 2.5 with USB connector, without sata to usb converter. Hence it is smaller in size and won't fit PS3

  • Unfortunately I had already bought the drive the night before (Fri) from OW. I did drop by and ask my local OW if they would honour a -5% price match and he said no as the price from HN was a one off, not constant price. So the best you would have got from OW was a price match of A$127.
