yes, there are generic USB led lights on aliexpress from US$0.72 delivered. I have bought 3 of these and think they are absolutely fine. But some people love to have Xiaomi. The cheap ones don't have a switch. Generic switch ones can be bought for ~US$1.25.

      The one posted is the "Enhanced Version", which has a button to adjust 5 level of brightness.

      Doubt that's a genuine Xiaomi one. If it is, it'd be the last gen model without the switch and higher brightness with adjustment.

      Night light for hallway with mains USB power supply. Light up laptop keyboard at night. With power pack a light source.

      I've got 3 computers sitting on the desk, rather than turn on the room lights I plug one of these into a (headless) computer that is on 24/7 and another into the main computer I want to use - 2 of them give me more than enough light to see what I'm doing.

      If I want more, I can plug another one into the USB ports on the G15 keyboard and into the USB ports on the router.
