If you know how to crack it, it's free.

    • I agree Adobe are creeps I've brought Capture one instead.

  • Is there an offline version of photoshop and lightroom? Yearly sub is expensive

As far as I know, there isn't…unless you buy old (unsupported) software. Keep in mind, Adobe Photoshop CS6 was bout $1,500 to purchase outright when it was around.

    • I've swapped to Affinity Designer for most of my web work. $80 for lifetime license. It can open and navigate a PSD faster than Photoshop can. I haven't tried their photo editor as yet though.

  • Still running pscs6…PS hasn't really had any major advancements for a while.

Lightroom is still available stand alone.

    • One major thing you're missing is RAW support for new cameras.

      • Yes… Camera raw in cs6 is a bit behind. I just use lightroom to convert the files as well as my main raw converter capture one.

    • why are you so sure this'll be the end of LR? Just seems like another RAW processor to me. Nothing revolutionary. Not doubting you as I would love to see something knock LR and PS off their perch, I just don't see anything in this as yet.

      • Real time image processing and rendering and also the first new raw engine in 10 years
Sounds like all the other engines are long outdated
This sounds like a massive timesaver even though LR will probably always dominate at least this is incentive for them to update the raw engine

        • "Real time image processing and rendering"

How does this relate to photography? Been looking it up on the Internet and am no wiser!! I always thought LR was real time?!?

I'm definitely one who suffers from laggy LR despite having a fast computer and use C1 mostly bit often return to LR just cos of the workflow.

I would definitely look at this if there is some advantage. Sounds like a lot of plugins will end up being compatible as well.

          @slipperypete:
          Watch the video I linked
Hopefully it's as good as it sounds
          should be released sept-dec

        • @thelastnoob:

          Thanks for helping out…cheers

I don't think so. They're pricing it too close to what you can get the CC for. I'm an On1 10.5 user and when you take into account the exchange rate of our Aussie peso I don't know if I'll upgrade.

      • They have remade the raw processing engine to probably take advantage of dual and quad cpu and gpu and other instruction sets
I know that people with good computers have to wait for a while for rendering and loading images whereas this is super fast

  • Deal only for new customers. I couldn't use my existing account.

  • I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you know someone in uni?

  • Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Charged in Australian dollars?
