Not Aus stock just incase people didn't realise :-)

  • the description says "…"international model and may differ slightly from local models" does anyone know what differences there are if any? and also is this grey import? thanks in adv!

    • My previous iPhone 5S was a grey import from Hong Kong and as far as i could tell, the only thing that was different was that it had a different charger plug. I'm guessing they just put that clause in the description of all their import phones?

    • No difference in the device. However, Kogan will usually swap out the power adapter to usually a non-genuine one and you'll have to deal with Kogan if you have a consumer law claim. Apple will only honor the 1-year warranty.

      • The post the other day for a 5Se was a us model with limited 4g bands for Australia. This could be the same. Kogan won't tell you the model though.

  • FREE Expedited delivery from outside AU

Does that mean I will be hit with GST + import duty as the invoice would state the original price of $1221.99?

    • No

  • I am guessing, seeing kogan won't tell you, that this is a uS version phone that has not all rhe needed 4g bands for Australia, buy with caution.

Kogan complies with ACCC requirements…should I say more?

    • I'm confused.

    • -1

yes you probably should say more

  • Kogan wouldn't be selling products if they are incompatible to Australian requirements. I personally have bought numerous electronics from Kogan and they all came with compatible genuine chargers, plugs.. Etc. Apple is an international brand and it offers international warranty to all of their products.

I am not a promoter of Kogan or Apple. hope this helps otherwise please keep on posting comments and hopefully someone else will answer your questions.

    • Apple doesn't offer international warranty to iphone.

  • Its grey import means apple australia wont cover warranty, you have to send it back to kogan for repair, thats my understanding

you linked to the USA warranty which is different to Australian (and other countries).

Australian one says, amongst other things ,
"…IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD AND APPLE TV SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device…"

  • Apple consumers goes to Apple shop or an authorised repairer for faults. I don't know why I am try to convince people that this is legit. Consumers who want to buy will buy either from Kogan or from other sellers. Move on and close this discussion

    • it only gives you one year warranty instead of two.

      • what was wrong with it though?

I can't remember sorry. It was fine when we got it, the problem occurred after a long time.
