170

Back by popular demand!

Valid for use at any session, any time, seven days a week at all Hoyts Cinemas Australia-wide (excluding La Premiere, Hoyts IMAX, Half-pipe and Directors Suite). Valid for until 30 November 2010. Hoyts vouchers can also be redeemed at all Australian Multiplex Cinemas.

See a movie on Saturday night for $10.00. Are we crazy? No, just buy a book of 10 before you go and save your money for the snack bar!

Note 1: it doesn't say anywhere, but I bet that you'll still need to pay the "3D tax" on top of these.

Note 2: Westpac Altitude are also doing an additional promotion where they are paying 9 bonus points per dollar (I think this is for Platinum - not sure about Gold). That's a lotta nuts!

  • Valid for until 30 November 2010. There's not enough good movies
to bother going to the cinema, I usually end up giving away unused vouchers.
Remember when these used to be sold door to door?

    • +1

Well, that's a matter of opinion. If my wife had anything to do with it, we'd watch everything that gets released. She loves movies. Me, I'm somewhat more picky…

      • How about Twilight? I'm kidding!! (makes me sick just thinking of it :p)

    • iron man 2 :D
and then robin hood is coming out next week
grab a couple of mates watch the two and that's alread half the tix gone

  • can anybody buy it ?or do i have to have westpac altitude card ?

    • Anybody can buy it, but Westpac Altitude cardholders get the points bonus.

      • If you use altitude platinum Amex you will get 3 points per dollar spent so this is effectively 1200 points, which has a value of $7.20 if redeeming for myer cards - so not a bad extra bonus.

        • not sure about your maths, but 3 points per dollar, by $100, comes to 300 points, or am I missing something?

        • Actually, at 9 points per dollar you'd only get 972 points (including shipping), which is still pretty good.

          • @zzyss: Aah i thought it was 3 points + 9 points bonus…

  • Not sure where you get the 9 points from for the rewards. I have a gold, and it gives me 5 points on AMEX, the platinum gives 6 on AMEX. But there's no special offer here on the rewards, they are always at this rate aren't they.

    • If you have Platinum then it's 9 pts if paying by AMEX
3 point + 6 bonus point per dollar spent

    • I received it in the Altitude Rewards e-mail this morning:

  • I have (what I believe are) the same tickets and they cannot be used after 5pm on Saturday.

    • I know the ones you're talking about - the offpeak ones, but these are "unrestricted". It specifically says in the description that you can use them after 5pm on a Saturday, so I don't think it's the same ones.

  • I can't purchase them. When I try to buy it, I get the following:

"Unfortunately we do not have that many tickets available for that performance. Press CANCEL and try another date if available"

This is after selecting the date/time of "Available -> $100" and Qty 1.

    Anyone?

    • You're right. Must be too many OzBargainers hitting up that link! Try again tomorrow maybe?

      • If they are not available now (i.e. they have run out), what makes you think they will be available tomorrow?
        This isn't LTS :)

    • Careful, the hoyts one's are restricted
National: Not valid in VIC or after 5pm Saturdays
      VIC: Obviously restricted to VIC

The Village ones are unrestricted (can be used after 5pm Saturdays), however they must be used within 6 months of purchase - Great for families or if you are a movie buff

  • You can get these also at http://mcapplause.com.au/mca/public/ticket/249/movie-tickets… but u have to pay with a Mastercard

  • Good deal.

Worth noting, you can still get $9 tickets from Event Cinemas using this link:
