  • Anybody used this dashcam? Can you please advise on the quality? Also does this have battery or is it capacitor based? Can't seem to find any reviews online.

      • +8

For a decent dash cam you need to spend at least $130-150

        No, you don't.

        • -4

That is all you can say? Probably you didn't have enough time.

        • +7

@dealhunt: Lol you dont have to spend anywhere near $130-150. My G1wcb and A118c are great and they were half the price

        • -5

@shapers: That is your opinion so I don't have to follow it because before buying my camera I did my research and I'm happy about it.
Also I gave a lot of technical information in my first replay while all you did was "I bought this and it's better than yours".

        • @dealhunt: Lmao you're very defensive, where did i say its better than yours?
You just said you can only get a decent one for $130-150 and i gave my opinion.
If you did better research you'd realize there's good options for under $100

        • -5

@shapers: Then if your choice isn't better than mine, it means my choice is good too.
By the way, I'm not a school yard bully and I don't need to be defensive, I gave technical informations while you gave "none", sorry you're the on the defensive stance.
But you can be happy with your choice.

        • @dealhunt: No, just saying such an idiotic thing as you did, not much else needed to be said.

As Shapers mentioned, the G1W and the A118C are both great dash cams and nowhere near $130-$150.. Because you know, just because something is more expensive it clearly must be better..

@Porthos: Only idiots say idiotic things and because I have a different opinion, it doesn't mean that I must listen to you.
          Be polite dude!

        • +3

@dealhunt: Sorry but you're the one not being polite. All we said is there's good options that's less than your $130-150 range and you got all grumpy and rude over it.

I am happy with my choice and if you go here you'll find another 311 people happy with them too.

Also I gave a lot of technical information

Very fast hardware, responsive touch screen, up to 128GB memory card, very good quality case

That's not technical information. An you don't need a damn touch screen for a dashcam. I can see you fell for the sales spiel and now you're just trying to justify spending too much.

          Only idiots say idiotic things

like suggesting you need to spend $150 to get a good dashcam, when great dashcams like the G1W-C can be had for under $60. Since you like technical information, digest this:

          Main Features:

          · FULL HD 1080P high quality resolution.
          · NT96650+AR0330
          · 120 degree A+ grade High Resolution Wide Angle Lens.
          · Lens aperture F1.8
          · Wide Dynamic technology ( firmware enhanced )
          · H.264 video compression technology.
          · Video recording in MOV
          · Video recording bit-rate: average 12Mbps
          · G-sensor function.
          · Built-in microphone/speaker.
          · Supports high capacity TF card up to 64Gb (Fat32).
          · Seamless looping video.
          · Support anti-shake function.
          · Motion Detection.
          · Support HDMI high quality video transmission.
          · support auto ignition boot, turn off shut-down.

But yours has a "great case" so that trumps all that doesn't it.

        • +1

          @shapers:

          +1 for the A118c.

Works great, cost me just over $60 AUD delivered (from a deal posted here on ozbargain a couple months ago).

For $130-$150, I'd expect a great dashcam, perfect video in low level light etc.

You might want to check out https://dashcamtalk.com/ before buying a dashcam

  • I would grab a 118C …best form factor of the cheaper china cams.
