You can add up to 36 months of Xbox Live Gold. For instance, if you have less than 12 months left on your current subscription you should be able to stack the 24 month membership, but not if you have more than 12 months.

I've honestly never heard about it up until now. Just had a quick look, it's all about sharing digital titles? I know I prefer to have discs :)
Long story short that's even better for you if you all just own hard copies. Biggest benefit will be the shared gold.
Whoever has gold on the GamerTag sets their mate's Xbox as their "home console", and you set your xbox as your mate's "home" console. Now he has access to gold+ all your digital titles (including Games with Gold) at all times using his GamerTag + his own digital games. The same will be true for you - you have access to gold + all his digital titles + your own digital games.
Here's the catch (at least for Games with Gold if none of you have bought digital games):
However if Xbox live goes down, then each party loses access to their own digital games, vice versa.

I got 2 codes today roughly 5 hours after completing my purchase. One was applied to my AU account, another was for my brother in EU. Both worked without any issues. Highly recommended!

Still nothing nearly 24hrs later. I did get an email that "Your order has been processed, in stock orders should ship promptly" with a whole lot of delivery estimates which is rather strange considering the code is just meant to be emailed.
Same thing happened with me. After like half a dozen messages I finally get a reply saying it was sent out last night with some sorta photo but the strange thing is while I have all the other emails from them this one is seemingly invisible. So I dunno what's going on.

@Warehouse1: yeah indeed and the funny thing is after even like three retries I still never received it. Very weird yet I was getting all the eBay reply messages and the initial two confirming it's been paid and then processed.

I had actually ordered it yesterday lunch time and supposedly had the code email sent out to me around 3 hours later. Funny thing is that even after multiple attempts I never received the email and they gave up and just messaged me the actual code thru eBay messages later on this morning. But most people seem to be getting them anywhere between 2 to 6 hours or so.
Ordered through eBay - also had a targeted 10% off eBay voucher, so only $78.30 for me (and eventually another -1.25% via Cashrewards).

Apparently Microsoft have pulled this product from being able to be purchased from Australian Dsitributors and don't wish to let anyone buy any more. (we found out about 10 minutes ago) - If this is true, then to say we are disappointed with Microsoft would be an understatement as this item has been readily available for quite some time now.
We are investigating and seeing if we can get any more, in the meantime we have stopped allowing orders online until we have more information.
The majority (a few hundred) of orders that have already been received, have been fulfilled already or will be shortly, with the Xbox Live keys we already have on hand. Worst case scenario, we will refund anyone we are unable to supply to, but we are still hoping to supply ones already received.
We will update you all ASAP.

Paid via EFT, 1:20pm yesterday. Haven't gotten anything back other than the order confirmation email and after logging in to view my order, my order has no status.
I'm hoping that because I paid via EFT I don't end up at the end of the queue, behind those who purchased via PayPal/eBay and miss out on the remaining stock.

For anyone who has received the order processing emails but not the key, it looks like that outlook.com, hotmail, Live.com email services seem to be blocking the codes we have sent out.
For anyone who hasnt already contacted us, if you havent received your code, but you have received an email that your order has been processed, please email [email protected] so that we can resend or send by another method :)
For those without order processing emails, we really appreciate your patience while we fix the situation caused by Microsoft. As mentioned we had zero warning of their sudden move to cut off supply to our Australian based microsoft distributor and thankfully the majority of orders placed have been fulfilled already.

Microsoft have killed this product permanently. We have not received an explanation as to why, but in our opinion we believe it is likely the big retailers took issue with the promotion because they lost sales and applied pressure to Microsoft to intervene, which is illegal and highly unethical. Microsoft refused to issue more keys to cover those who had not yet received theirs.
We would encourage anyone who feels so inclined to make a complaint to them here by calling 13 20 58.
All existing keys that have been sent out will work fine, so no worries there.
For anyone who hasn't received a key, we are going to take a hit for you and buy 2 x 1 year subscriptions and send them through.
Each 2 x 1 year subscription costs us about $130, so we will lose at least a couple of thousand dollars to do this - but we feel that Ozbargainers should not have to suffer because of a bad decision made by Microsoft and we will foot the bill and probably open a dispute with Microsoft via the correct channels.
For anyone who has not yet paid for their order, please do so before friday COB as any orders unpaid by Monday COB need to be cancelled in our system.
Thankyou all for your patience, we actually didn't start this promo, we just wanted to put it out there and support the OZB community when we saw this post. (we did this pretty much at cost to start with)

I haven't received my code yet and i have received the email saying it has been processed. I am an Outlook.com user so that may be the reason why it has not come through yet. Can someone please update me on whats going on? Everyone else seemed to get a response within an hour, ive been waiting 4 days now.
