AliExpress 7.5% Cashback on Quidco

240

Quidco is a UK-based cashback site that offers 7.5% cashback on Aliexpress. Maybe cashrewards will now match this?

This is a good site for cashback from UK stores - many which ship internationally. For example:

Some of the international travel sites (e.g. hotels.com, Expedia UK, booking.com) might be worth looking at also.

Similar to topcashback, you can get payments as Paypal or as an Amazon.co.uk gift card with 1% cashout bonus. It may even be be a good way to get some some pounds in your Paypal acct without FX fees.

EDIT: Just got an email from Quidco offering free £10+CB for £10 spend at any retailer (once). I don't exactly know what qualifies you for this offer - but it's basically $25 AUD free if you get it.

If you do choose to sign up to Quicdo - here is my Referral Link.

Yep. If TA can match (or beat) the 7.5% here everyone wins!

  • Already made the purchase :(

  • "It may even be be a good way to get some some pounds in your Paypal acct without FX fees."

This is a bit of a stretch, since you have to pay almost 17 times what you receive in cash back to get those elusive PayPal pounds. I know PayPal's exchange rates are usury, but even they are not that bad. Now, to go buy some Doc Martens.

    • Well it depends on the offer. Some are higher than 7.5% - or you might buy things at a few stores over time.

I find it handy getting cashback in USD/Amazon gift cards on other CB sites as a lot of places need USD. Pounds aren't as useful I know, but the odd ebay purchase might require it - and it's still money saved.

    • Lots of people buy wholesale lots from alexpress..

7.5% is greater than 7.25%. So this seems the best deal. But do we want pounds?

      Better exchange rate

        What?!?!

Not heard of this site but it seems superior to cash rewards for most cash back rates. Cheers.

  • Thanks signed up with your link. Anyone else in Australia use this site? Just wondering which retailers on here even ship to Australia.

Getting some pounds into the eBay account is a great idea.

FYI this site is very mobile friendly. :) really nice and easy interface

I used it heaps while I was living in the UK. The cashback rates are amazing and they also had instore cashback as well.

I'm still using it even though I've come home to Australia. Mainly for Amazon and hotel bookings. My favourite is with hotels.com as you'd get 8-12% cashback + their stay 10 nights get 1 free hotels rewards program.

  • Has been matched by Cash Rewards.

    • has it?

https://cashback.ru/Aliexpress has an 8.88% Aliexpress cashback. Just saying…
Site in Russian though so google translate is your friend.

    • Probably where I draw the line. Quidco is one of the two major UK cashback sites.

  • I am very highly suspicious that these and others could be scams. No offence, but 5% is the only fee that is charged to Aliexpress sellers.

There is no promotion that Aliexpress is running that I have been made aware of. I usually get around 3-5% off on aliexpress through my account.

So, unless magically these companies are eating their own profit, I can't think of any other reason why they would do so.

I think we'll see a lot untracked responses like when the eBay cashback rate was high. The sites that run these frauds are unscrupulous and can cherry pick which people they pay out. I suspect in order to pay the actual cashback only 1 in 2 people will get cashback. This is still very high, and will not allow others to pick up on the fraud since almost half of the people will be posting on forums stating they got their cashback.

The same applies to any "Get Paid" websites if anyone is involved in those. The typical theme is rewards will be cancelled for a subgroup of people even though they have followed the rules 100%.

I'm going to give everyone all the information/theories and they can make their own decision.

Note TopCashback has a 1.5 Star Rating only.

Not much info on Quidco though. I hope Cashrewards isn't pulling the same stunt.

Do you know of something known as Promotional Budget. Aliexpress usually is only 1-2% cashback but from last month almost all cashback sites have started offering around 7-8%. Similar to how sometimes Groupon Australia offers 9% cashback at Founder level with Pricepal

Aliexpress was 7.7% on topcashback the other day. I did post a deal…

Cashback sites have been around for years and years. All they are doing is leveraging affiliate links and paying back some of the commission. If the affiliate pays out - they pay out. Pretty simple really.

I don't think it's the way you describe.

  • WOW, wish i knew about the 5% Evans Cycles deal, spent a fortune there buying parts for a new bike over the last month or so!

Because of TA, i prefer to stay with cashrewards and its mere 0.5% so who cares?

I just go with whatever gives the best bargain. This is another tool in your toolkit.

Loyalty to a company is silly.. They are in it for profit. TA Is their rep and should arrange a better deal.

Better to use the savings to donate to a legitimate charity like msf imo.

      • I didn't say that it's because of cashrewards, I said it's because of TA.

        • I know. But cashrewards is the one that actually benefits from your support. You're free do to so of course..

If the deal is actually the best, that's something different however.
