AliExpress Cashback Increases from 2.40% to 7.25% @ Cashrewards

4640

Noticed TopCashback was offering 7.00% cashback via Spackbace's post. So made a few quick phone calls and I've managed to get the rate above theirs. That's why I love this job so much. Happy shopping everyone, and thanks for all the support :)

      Misleading title

      Not misleading at all, just because 2 companies offer it doesn't mean 1 company should reflect the other.

      Offer is the cheapest available, your neg is invalid.

          Misleading title when the comparison should be 7% which was the benchmark.

          you should appreciate TA's effort, and not treat him like this.

          plus your supporting our local economy and jobs in Australia by using Cashrewards vs TopCashback

          This is a blatant abuse of TA position to advertise for his company

          You neg vote was a blatant abuse of your voting rights on ozbargain for a 100% legit deal

        • -3

          @easternculture: 100% legit deal? If another store rep provided a discount of 0.0025 they would be laughed out of here.

        • -3

          @Spackbace: 0.0025 discount, you always hate on sales rep; please do tell me if you would support this if it was a sales rep that you weren't a fan of?

        • +3

          @GameChanger:

          Store A sells 8 pack Eneloops for $15 (which is the going price on ozbargain)
          Store B usually sells 8 pack Eneloops for $50 but reduces them to $14.50

          This is considered a deal on ozbargain even with 50c saving

          I think you should be thanking TA for putting in the effort to contact Aliexpress to get this deal for us.

        • +5

          @GameChanger:

          0.0025%

          @Spackbace:

          or do you need a lesson on

          Probably a FREE Maths Udemy Course that TA posted

        • -2

          @Spackbace: Work it out on your calculator mate.

          0.0025 * $100 = $0.25 cents

        • @TheClipIt: Did you finish school?

          1%= 0.01

          @easternculture: A true Ozbargainer would save that $100, to spend when the discount is far greater.

          Here is the attitude that is so wrong about this site.

        • @TheClipIt: I can bet most of them just voted because it was TA.

          @GameChanger:

          He puts a lot of effort in his deals. And im pretty sure he has saved each and every one of us hundreds of dollars.

          What have you been doing, other than spreading this negative attitude when it involves a popular deal poster

        • @GameChanger:

          I can bet most of them just voted because it was TA.

          I can bet you just negged because it was TA.

          Not sure he knows how!

        • OK, let's end this discussion here before it gets personal.

    • +10

      You've been negged to hell.
      However, I partially agree with you on one thing.

      Whenever a "better deal" is posted, it is always compared against the next best deal. It doesn't matter what that store had it priced at previously. It'd be like saying.. Samsung store previously sold S7 for $1200, now for $800. We don't care that they sold it for $1200 previously. We only care that the next cheapest was previously HN at $850 and now Samsung is $50 cheaper.

      This is the common reaction on Ozbargain.

      It is not factually wrong to say the cashback has increased from 2.4% to 7.25%, but as Ozbargainers we really only care about the fact that it's 0.25% higher than a competitor.

      Your approach is extremely aggressive though and that probably attracts more negative attention than what you've actually said…

      • -1

        Yep 0.25% discount, imo isn't worthy of the votes this 'deal' has received.

        You need to spend $10,000 to even consider it a good deal.

        • +8

          I agree that this deal is not "worth" as many votes as it currently has (126), but by definition of a "deal" this is still 100% valid. It is a better offer than what is offered at the next best place (TopCashbacks).

          Username "branding" definitely exists on Ozbargain but there's really nothing you can do about it. And it certainly cannot be argued that this isn't a deal. Sure, you can say it's a crappy deal but I don't think there's any way around saying this isn't a deal. Just don't vote if you don't think it's worthy of a positive, but the fact that you negged it gives your argument a different meaning.

        • +3

          Just quit it… You're just repeating yourself.

        • @Spackbace: If you got nothing to say, don't comment.

        • @illumination: Yeah I agree. I feel the OP has taken advantage of his status to get this 'deal' on the front page.

          Whilst it may technically be a deal, if it was any other poster the deal wouldn't reach front page.

          Comparing something that was the case for a couple of weeks, to something that was just negotiated and actioned, and 2 completely different things.

          If you want to attempt to defend your argument, do it properly.
