Should be trying to drink 30mL/kg you weigh, everyday. Some fruit and vegies also contain a lot of water so you might not need to drink as much as you think.

    • That's a good indicator, I've just been assuming 2.1L of water per day

But the app itself has their own recommendation based on your weight too.

      • Also, the more you spread out your consumption of water, the more your body will absorb it, instead of releasing the excess.

And you don't need a bowel-emptying reminder app. Just reading some of these comments will give you the sh1ts!

Up until I read this thread I couldn't work out why no one was downloading apps anymore.

  • Pointless.
The idea of a "daily goal" for water is not based on any sound scientific or medical evidence.
Makes as much sense as a daily target for the number of breaths you take, or heartbeats.
It varies, and we often get the majority from food.

There is a simple test for insufficient water intake: your pee goes darker.
And there are plenty of free apps that will do this, alongside more useful remiders and logging.
