I've just discovered two pretty great phones on sale. The Xiaomi Mi4c has great specs for its price. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is also excellent bang for buck and looks to have taken a huge, long awaited price cut. Need to sleep but phones are as follows: (will include more in-depth specs tomorrow evening)

          Possibly…try side loading that. I only found out about having the developer rom to unlock after side loading the 7.3 rom

          @bbourizk: it's done. I've installed MIUI 8 Beta from xiaomi.eu. It looks awesome. Thanks. But I"m not sure why it has SuperSU installer. It says my phone has not unlocked yet. But everything is working fine.

          This is what I used.
          You have to give a reason. I said my phone is bricked stuck in a loop..2-3 days had authorization.

          Miui8 is great. Phone feels fantastic and nice and clean interface. Absolutely love it.

          yup MIUI 8 is awesome, although it's a bit buggy, i can't use my xiaomi band to unlock.

          I did it on PC. I'm sure I had a choice of choosing English or maybe translate.

          Only issue I'm having is some online things like ringtones can't be accessed. Keeps saying no internet connection.

          Other than that it's been smooth.

          I had to put Nova launcher. Couldn't stand all the apps on pages.

          Nova launcher is nice. but since I was using IOS, i like MIUI home launcher.

          To unlock you need to be on a developer Rom which is based on miui8… You can keep running that if you want. No playdtore though.
          Lots of Chinese stuff.

          I flashed the developer then unlocked then flashed the miui8 beta from xiaomi.en

          Now it's unlocked and rooted with no bloody ads and running the 8 beta…working great.

          How did you flash the other one?

          Did you try downloading it on the phone and then updating through the updater app.

          Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and choose package to update.

          There's two links there. One with weekly update and one without root.

          You can sideload it using the tutorial. Booting into twrp and choosing an sideload.

          I just did mine.

          It rebooted into twrp and flashed. Then restarted and booted back into miui8. Nothing was lost phone as I had it.

          Your other option is to sideload it. But then you'll have to set the phone up again.

          how do you flash it from TWRP without sideloading?

          After you sideload it don't reboot straight away. Go back to main menu in twrp and wipe. Don't tick any boxes just wipe device then restart

    I just received my note pro and looks great, no heating issue. The issue that I have, some languange in the setting, ring tone, theme, wallpaper, and even music are in chinese. Has anyone an easy solution to it without breaking the phone ?

      Glad you like the phone…similar experience as yours…it's a great phone.

      Go back a few posts in this thread and read what myself and anthox80 wrote.

      What you have is a vendor rom. We flashed a different Rom to get rid of it. There's a link to xiaomi.en for what we are using.
