$10 cheaper than TRENT86 from last month

As explained before, not necessarily the cheapest price for this phone, but if you really need it, it's an OK price

Officeworks will drop the price on their's sooner to get free delivery

(OzB 101 - Before they drop it go instore and price match for 5% off!)

Great phone mostly because of the waterproofing which makes this a big up compared to others at this priced

Has also been $235.2 and $255 during their ebay sales last month, so might be a good idea to wait :)

Yes, which is why I put in this

A tad misleading to only link the '$10 cheaper than TRENT86 from last month' though.

        • +1

I'm waiting for $200 or below.

The Moto G4 is a big disappoint for me :/

        • +1

          @StrayfireX:

I bit the bullet at $235, no regrets :)

Release seems to be disappointing (somehow I haven't even heard of it, googling it now)

        • +2

@StrayfireX: Waiting for 4G/3G dual sims and return of notification lights.

        • @edfoo:

They'll probably be a 6.5 inch screened monstrosity by the time they get around to another iteration at the rate they're going. Every gen has been bigger than the last.

        • This isnt on sale nor is it on the eBay store which is why I am comparing it to Trent's post

Because this isnt the eBay store for TGG, its the official site

        • +2

          @Bearosaurus:

nor is it on the eBay store

          Yeah, nah…

        • @KaptnKaos:

My apologies, I meant its not in the 20% off sale, which means what us the point of getting from eBay rather than gettingnit from their online store or just plain buying it instore?

        • @Bearosaurus:

You can get a rebate from some cashback sites if you use eBay instead of TGG or TGG website.

        • @KaptnKaos:

It's only like 2.5% opposed to 5% off at Officeworks via Price Beat Guarantee

        • @Bearosaurus:

Sure, ultimately it just depends on what you'd prefer to do really.

        • @KaptnKaos:

          Precisely.

        Sheldon DOES NOT MISLEAD PEOPLE!!!

        • +2

          Sheldon likes trains.

          Australia does not have trains*.

Therefore this is not the real Sheldon.

*CityRail is not a train service. Melbourne has trams.

    16GB Internal (Expandable to 32GB)???

    • Yep sure can. Dual micro sim too. Not one of those dual sim slots where the extra slot is for a microsd or extra sim.

    • +1

The expandable SD card slot is officially only supported up to 32gig. But apparently you can whack a 128 gig card in there without any real problems as long as you do your research, buy right and set it up right.

      • Implying we haven't already bought (at least) 1 of each capacity ;)

  • I grabbed one of these phones to replace my Xperia z1 compact. It's actually a good phone but the camera is terrible.

how does this compare to the Oppo F1?

    • It's a very close thing. Oppo F1 has a better chip and more ram but the Moto G is a better put together phone overall. I'm stuck on this decision myself right now. For me it'll probably come down to what I can get cheaper when I get around to buying.

      • kk, might swing by bigw tmr and grab the oppo if they have it in stock.. seems to be a bit cheaper.. 2 year warranty too I think

    • Well for like 100 bucks more you have

      Close to stock Android

      Waterproofing

A decent camera though Oppo probably has the same specs

Oppo is only giving you that 3gb of ram because you need it, good luck trying to play games! (Thats those games that are like Ashphalt and stuff)
