  • Well that explains why my citi visa debit wasn't working. Glad it's finally here, shame I can't use it yet though

  • I've tried adding my Citibank card and an ANZ Amex and neither will register yet. Anyone else having issues?

    • Same. Tried NAB Amex, said it wasn't supported.

      • Yeah currently it's only Amex issued cards and Citibank visa and Mastercard that is supported. Don't know why the citibank cards aren't working, maybe try again later possibly everyone is hitting it in one go.

        • Only Citibank Credit Cards (and the Amex issued cards), their debit card isn't supported which doesn't make sense to me

        • @mccaj09:

Amex issued cards are not yet available.

Edit: Sorry, I tried it with my Amex cards this morning and it didnt work. I just tried it again and it works!

  • Unable to establish connection with samsung pay. Kay.

  • stuck on validation page myself

edit: worked for my citibank platinum credit card

OP, please amend to reflect this is for Citibank credit card holders and does not apply to Citibank Plus debit card holders

    • I have updated. Thank you for suggestion.

  • You can use Samsung Pay on the following Samsung devices:

    • Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge (Note, these two devices only support Samsung Pay transactions made on contactless terminals)
    • Galaxy S6 edge+
    • Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge
    • Galaxy Note5 phone

    • Can't see why Note 4 is not supported. How disappointing.

      • That's cause Note 4 doesn't have the MST technology in it.

        • Most terminals support contactless anyway. Samsung Pay support NFC only on S6 and S6 edge so they can obviously include Note 4.

        • @kei: I know, but for some reason Samsung decided not to use MST in S6.

Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge (Note, these two devices only support Samsung Pay transactions made on contactless terminals)

        • @nbn: I think it is just firmware related to carrier not yet enabling MST on those two devices. Other countries work.

  • Is it like Pay Wave where it is only for transactions under $100?

    • +1

I believe you could pay for transactions more than $100. Kind of different to physical card paypass, which is a security issue if the card is stolen. Hence the limit of $100. Samsung pay lets you pay via the fingerprint/pin security on the phone.

  • So.. I dont have a samsung phone and I dont have a citi credit card.. is there still a way I can avail this one?? Lol..

    • Use your bank app with a phone with NFC?

  • My David Jones Amex worked as well as my Citibank visa.

    • Was it a Citibank debit or credit card?

      • credit

  • Seems Amex is also to offer $15 one off credit for three puschases over $5 via Samsung Pay

  • Citi Signature and S7 Edge combo worked like a charm! Transaction instantly recorded in Samsung Pay app. Thanks OP!

  • i am using overseas model of note 5, the app is unsupported for me
    anyone know why?

    • You might need to install Australian Rom.

      I usually download from Sammobile.

      • What is rom? How is that different to software update
