      A bit off topic but can this be used as a PS4 HDD replacement? I read one of the negative reviews saying seagate recently changed the internal design of these drives and now solders the SATA interface to the HDD so you can no longer use it as a PS4 HDD.

        No, the drive inside this 4TB HDD is 15mm thick. While PS4 will only take 9.5mm one.

        Get the 2TB seagate. Thatll work. Correct size and has sata. The 1TB drives you cant use anymore. It was $92 the other day

        @tekkrohnz: Ah.. so it was the 1TB drive the Amazon review was referring to. Thanks, the amazon page showed different capacity options and the reviewer did not mention which drive had it's HDD soldered to the interface. Will go with the 2TB then, thanks for this.
