Is this available in store as well?

    • +2

Yep. According to the email Masters sent today, this promotion is available in store as well "Full range of products featured are available in store, purely dependent on individual store's stock. Stock may vary by store."

      • Thank you!

      • OP says deliver and click/collect only.

Would rather go and look in store and buy on spot.
can anyone confirm if I have to click/collect first?

  • -1

Easy to find out - Just do click and collect.

    • +3

That's assuming the inventory report is accurate.

I've purchased something online, only to waste 1 hour at the store as they tried to locate my order even though I received a 'Ready to Collect' notification.

In the end they couldn't find it so I cornered the manager to give me a better product at the same price for my inconvenience.

      • Literally ordered dozens of times without any issues with stock. You may have been really unlucky. Also you still have to drive to the store anyway if you're looking just to buy from the store. There's no guarantees that a sticked item will be available by the time you get there. Click/Collect is still a more reliable option

        • I too have had problems with items not available after C&C confirmation.
But they did provide substitutes with any fuss.

      • +1

Yep my advice is to click and collect then go to the store as soon as possible even if you don't get the text and pick your own stock! I've had issues before when i got the text and stock was still on display. Staff have always been super helpful about it though.

      • +1

I've had a similar issue with the store at FTG/Vic, kept me waiting almost 30 min while they looked several times for part of a C&C order, it was only a small order, hate to see a big/$$$ order lost.

I almost told them that their were bloody useless and to refund me.

No wonder their struggling against Bunnings.

Shame, I do like some of the stuff they sell over Bunnings.

TIP: Always check for both handles on storage boxes, as it has happen to me, getting around to using it and noticing it missing a handle.

Don't forget 2.25% cash back via Price Pal and at least 5% off using discounted wish cards.

    • Cashback may not be payable if you pay by gift card or if you purchase a gift card

      • I never knew this, thanks. EDIT: However I have confirmed cash back on both Cash Rewards and Price Pal for purchases made at Dan Murphy's using Wish Gift Cards. Masters may be just as lucky…

Nice deal. Woolworths also having 50% off Sistema storage range as well. Get ebay voucher for total of 66% off.

    • Wow starting today as well? I was wondering when the next Sistema sales going to take place!

    • How good are the Sistema ones compared to Starmaid? I'm considering them as it doesn't seem that Woolies will have Starmaid ones on specials anytime soon.
      Thanks :)

      • After buying about 40 boxes of each brand, I would say Sistema take the edge. The Stairmaid closing adapters "Blue" things are really weak. It's held together by a pin-like head, whereas the Sesitema uses the entire handle. I've had a few Stairmaid ones snap off but never for the Sistema. Woolies seem to still have the Sistema at 50% off.

Their website is just absolutely dreadful. Errors galore. Luckily for them they are going out of business so they won't have to deal with it.

    • +1

Personally I like their website, but that's just there opinion of someone with experience in creating and coding such things..

      • +3

I'll skip past the issue of no prices until you select a location, which should be more prominent.

        1. I put in my postcode and it took me to a store in a completely different state, which I didn't even realise until I got to checkout. The pricing for that store was different too, as expected. Change location and start again.

        2. I click "add to cart" and then it redirects me to another product I was previously looking at, not the one I added to cart. Doesn't even add to cart either. Restart.

        3. I close out of everything and try again, now clicking "add to cart" doesn't even add to cart. Restart.

        4. Now I add to cart, got to Checkout, "session expired". Why? I was in the middle of using it! Restart

        5. Go to Checkout, adding quantities refreshes the whole page, which is slow, but at least it works. Finally success.

        • -1

How do you know all of these issues are with the site? Perhaps your browser, perhaps a browser add-on, do you log in first? What you describe about add to cart redirects sounds odd?

What do you mean by restart? Restart your order or your computer? I've never had a session expired error on their site, the only time I could foresee this is perhaps when they are doing pricing updates and therefore the luck of the draw.

        • +1

@cryptos: Restart = Clear cart, Restart Browser, start again from Cash Rewards link.

Google Chrome is a very common browser. Only add-on is uBlock Origin, again very common, except it had masters.com.au whitelisted to ensure that the CashRewards link works.

You're a typical developer blaming the user for issues on their end. "works for me" as if it would be practical to remote into your PC to use <Product> instead.

Yeah the add to cart redirection WAS really weird. There is some funky code acting in mysterious ways.

Nice, just bought two of the heavy duty 85L boxes https://www.masters.com.au/product/101689821/heavy-duty-stor…
edit: just noticed a separate deal posting for these boxes also @ https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/253134.

    • I want a few of these. Are they advertised as 40% instore, or do they automatically scan at 40% off when you take them to the counter?

      • Online checkout only

      • As mentioned by ozlab you can only get them $9 online. In store they scan at $15

  • Just ordered C&C. 40% automatically applied at checkout.

Btw OP shouldn't it be $5.40 for the 48L box?

    • yeah I bought 10 but = $90.

      but for $9 its bargain

      as 37L cost $7.99 already.

      also theses have good review

      • you just bought 10 for $90?

        • yes. and I thought it was bargain? no?

        • @hongas: hmm did you read the post…

        • -4

          @sky blu:

        • +3

          @hongas:

          no its not…

        • @hongas: the discount is applied if you like it or not.. check your balance, you'll find it's $5.40 ea

        • +1

What a great time of the year to organise all the stuff you've bought at a bargain price from OzBargain

Nope, doesn't matter what time of the year, or how many storage containers I have, I still can't get all my OzBargained stuff organised. :(

    • Damn, voids the 2% if you pay using gift card.

  • I just bought 10, ironic when I am trying to go through stuff and get rid of it. ;-)

  • -1

Gonna go buy these at masters and return the cheap crap see through ones bought from bunnings 2 month ago.

  • +1

    5% new customer doesn't stack

  • Thanks! Just bought 4. Prefer the see through ones though and regretted not buying more when Bunnings had their deal 2 months ago.

  • About $8 each delivered if I buy 4. Still worth it?

    • You want us to tell you what your dollars are worth?

Bought 4 of the 45L containers on Thursday night, for C&C at Bundall (Gold Coast) store. Got order confirmation email. Lunchtime Friday I got a call from girl at Bundall store, they are OOS, she also has to ring another 3 people and advise them. Asked her if they still had any of the 55L - she looked on the computer and said it showed in stock, but she would physically check and ring me back. She didn't call back, so just before close I rang the store and talked to another girl - the girl I had spoken to earlier had left a note that they were OOS of 55L as well. She then asked if I wanted a refund? No thanks, I want you to keep the money! The stupid website is still letting me order them for C&C. Update your d*mn site Masters!! Not impressed!

Same experience. I hope and pray they shut down. What a bunch of clowns, they have no bloody idea this mob. They are a liability and a waste of time and space.

      • +2

Very true, some Masters stores do not do click and collect well, but at the same time, their competitors do not even offer the option (here, at least). And Masters is definitely not the only retailer that has issues with stock levels and click and collect. I've had worse experiences. Importantly, they bring competition and choice. I think it would still be our loss if they shut down.

  • 5% discount with trade card work with this?

  • Ordered 20 on 16th. Supposed to be delivered yesterday by Allied. Then ETA was updated to today. But still nothing.
My first order from masters delivery, is this normal for Masters and or Allied?
