    Limited use.

    Most services can detect virtual numbers/voip numbers.

    Also the numbers are most likely recycled quickly after the usual 2 weeks trial.

    I remember getting a Google Voice number and I had to keep it in use for about a year before the spam stopped coming. It is not quite good. 3 Months… Bleh, not enough time to avoid the telemarketers from calling or other spam the previous owner subscribed to.

      Swytch Lines act like a real mobile UK number. You are correct about recycling, if a user does not renew, its recycled after a waiting period. In case you have a wild number, just contact support, and they will replace with a new one for you.

    I just set up a number, and tried to use it for an inbound SMS.

    I got the message:

    You have received a verification/PIN SMS on one of your Swytch lines. You must make a purchase in order for such messages to be delivered to you…

    This is a bit annoying!
