Local Legends Beef Jerky $3 (40% off) for 75g @ Coles

210

For those who prefer jerky that's not too dry or hard, this is good value. Works out to be $40/kg.

    Much better than Geronimo Jerky

Costco has the best and cheapest jerkey

    • Is this from a recent packet? I last bought some about 3 years ago and it was tough and gristly. Also had a really odd artificial taste to it.

Wasn't the first time i had tried it before then.

      • I wasn't a Costco member back then so I wouldn't know.

Might take a chance on another packet next time I'm invited to go then.

        • @cheepo: Quite often they are sampling it, don't know if it is worth the risk. Then again you can always get you money back. Good luck!

          @Savas:
All good. It's a small risk to take when it comes to overall life decisions.

          It's only beef jerky. :)

          Thanks.

      bought some today

      • Mariani 'Soft' $12.69 for 350gm (so $35.71/kg)
      • Mariani 5 Spice $12.69 for 350gm (so $35.71/kg)
      • Jack Links Jerky $11.69 for 255gm (so $45.84/kg)
      • Yum! I only ever had Mariani when I was Japan.

  • bought some a day or two ago. Not a fan of it. Jim's jerky was better and I don't remember if I like Costco more then jim's.

    • Where do you get Jim's from?

      • My original bag I got from a sample a year or two ago and was free. Since then I think I've seen them at various butchers, a stand at robina, and a pulled pork sandwich shop. I think they mainly sell to mom and pop businesses. If you don't mind paying shipping they do sell online too and I think they post deals hear quite often.

  • Jack links not too bad but a bit too sweet

    • Jack links taste like rubber.

This one is the type I stock up on when they're on special.

  • Melbourne cbd Coles didn't have this on sale looks like only in certain regions

  • I bought 8 today. Too bad they no longer have the spicy variety.

The best is the kind from Asian grocery stores imo. But they're expensive. They have wider range though.
