Jetstar EOFY Sale: SYD-Honolulu $239, MEL-SGN $186, MEL-BKK/HKT $187 + More

1370

Jetstar is having EOFY sale with many sales fares. This was the early access for Club Jetstar members and access for non-members started at midnight 28/6.
Sale ends 23:59 (AEST) Monday 4 July 2016,

**You can book ticket directly from the booking site if you have access problem to jetstar.com
https://book.jetstar.com/

Note:

  • If you book more than 1 tickets, SEPARATE the booking if possible because you will receive $25 Jetstar hotel voucher for EVERY Itinerary booked. So if you book 2 tickets on 1 itinerary you will only receive 1x $25 Jetstar voucher. Voucher expires in 2 weeks. So that’s $25 “cashback“ of your cheap flight. You can use that to book hotels.
Just for future reference voucher only issued for flights depart from Australia.

Remember to pay using PoLi because Direct Deposit sometimes doesn't get you voucher like it happened to me last time I booked
(I did not receive the voucher at first, but when I did Web check-in for that ticket, I received an email with $25 voucher… So I did receive it in the end)

  • Since last year, Jetstar/ Airasia has changed the rule and it cost more to add luggage later. So if you need check in luggage, you'd better add it when book your ticket. The cons is if you forfeit your ticket you will lose this as well.

  • Use PoLi payment method to avoid credit card fee.

Flight Centre: If you have bought your Flight Centre gift card during the 10% off sales, you can use it to book Jetstar flight. Last time I booked they offered me a slightly cheaper fare than directly on Jetstar website. You can always ask FC to offer the same fare at least, but I don't recommend it unless you use your gift card or don't intend to change your itinerary. In case you have to cancel your ticket, FC may slug you with their ridiculous fees.

You might pay more if they noticed you're getting too comfortable on your nice short leg room chair. :)

  • Starts at Midnight for those not members

    • Where did you see the start time for non-member? I couldn't seems to see it anywhere in the link I posted or in my email from Jetstar

  • Tried booking return flight to gold coast next year with your link and no flights were found when I clicked on "Find flights".

  • it seems Jetstar has changed their coding, it requires login now. But you should be able to book at midnight unless you have Clubjetstar membership. Sorry guys, I have edited my post. Maybe you should plan your trip first and book early.

  • As soon as you try to book it makes you login.

So if you don't have the Club membership, no dice.

Deal start at mid-night for non-member

      • Yup. Sure does.

  • You can view prices without hving a Clubjetstar login, but as soon as you select a flight it requires a logim and then dumps your flight selection and asks you to pay $39. Selecting flights without the link displays normal prices.

    • How did you see the price? When I select the dates and it ask me to login.

      • I missed the "^May not be available on all flights or days within travel period. Conditions apply."
… I'll just have to wait until 1 min before midnight.

  • Some really cheap flights here.

Search works for me without clubstar - far enough to get prices (but not book)

    • I just tried and the search doesn't even work. How did you search? Did you just login with your normal Jetstar account?

  • Just out of curiosity, has there ever been cheaper flights than this to Hawaii?

    • +1

Yes, $339 return during the last sale FREE return sale

      Maiden flight was $44 return.

Lava flowing from Pu'u 'O'o vent is expected to hit the ocean on the Big Island anyday now. It's been nearly 3 years since that last occurred.

    • Why would you downvote that? That sounds AMAZING and I want to see it.

You are kidding. The prices for gold coast to Tokyo dropped $30 since the sale last Friday. That's $120 return. I wonder if my credit card price guarantee will cover the drop. (Checked, it won't)

Edit: actually just checked and that sale is still happening. Going to replace it with this one. Takes the shine off it a bit. Will jump on chat tomorrow, got to try.

    • That sounds really fantastic, but I couldn't find it in the link. Where can I find it?

    • Are you sure that's return and not one way? In any case it'd have sold out by the time I find any dates lol

    • Haha sorry guys, the flights dropped by $120 return. Once the sale started and I could see the prices, only the to Tokyo flights dropped, the return are the same price. So I'm $60 down, not the end of the world, just annoying. I'm still going to Japan again after all, how can i not be excited.

  • If separating the bookings, can all the hotel vouchers be combined and used by one person who books the hotel?

    • Checked the terms and they said only one voucher per booking :(

    • You need to separate the hotel booking as per number of vouchers. i.e book consecutives days at the same hotel on separate booking, just need to advise hotel staff at check in ;)

      • Is that possible, to have separate daily bookings for one overall stay?
        Thanks

        • why not? I've done it many times.

        • @samehada: Yeah I love it. Manipulating the system really isn't it. A bit bold though?

  • Still getting the prompt to buy ClubJetstar before I can book flights, anyone getting through?

    • maybe try to go to Jetstar.com and book from there
      https://book.jetstar.com/

      • :( Still getting redirected to join Club Jetstar page. Will have to wait it out

I just did a test search in Incognito Mode and can now see the sale fare, maybe try to clear your cache.

        • Working in incognito, thanks for the tip

        • I used mobile.

    • It wasn't working for me on their desktop website but trying on their mobile website it's working fine. Maybe try giving that a go?

  • -7

    Not working.
    This isn't a deal

    • Don't go through the link, just go on the Jetstar page and search for flights. Only certain days are the lowest price. Good luck

    • I don't think your neg is valid, you can't book directly from the Club Jetstar link, use the main search link to book.

  • Anything good for Perth~melbourne in Dec?

  • Travel dates?

    • Check the club jetstar link

  • What a stressful hour. Trying to book jetstar tickets and airasia connecting tickets at the same time, to get to myanmar. Not to mention having to space it out to get a visa in between. Jetstar website seems to be struggling now, lucky i got in early.

My melb to bangkok flight is awaiting a payment so i'll transfer from my bank to avoid those ridiculous $12 credit card fees.

Damn you Malcolm Turnbull and Rupert Murdoch for forcing my hand. See you in 2019.

Only kidding, just a friendly 3 month holiday in December.

  • It will work out to be SOOO much more!!

(They tried to charge me an additional $475 at the airport last week).

    • +2

what will work to be soooo much more?

anyone got anything good from Sydney?

    • Around $500 return to Hawaii

      • What travel dates do I need to get this fare?

  • If the voucher expires in 2 weeks does that mean the we have to use it (stay at the hotel and pay) within 2 weeks? How does the expiry work if not as I just booked some flights in late november

    • +1

You have to use the voucher by booking within 2 weeks after booking your flight/s.

    • +1

You need to make a booking and use the voucher toward that booking within 2 weeks for any future stay.

  • $108 Return GC to Syd late July..Good deal, thanks OP.

  • Thanks, booked our flights to Phuket one-way to start our 15 week holiday for $229 + $30 for 15kg luggage. Good deal?

    • 15 weeks? Good life! Enjoy it!

I took a year off to live and travel overseas.

      • +1

Yeah mate, we both quit our jobs and start our travels in August.. for now we know Thailand as first destination for a wedding, and then we head straight to Europe after for 12 weeks minimum. Nothing booked yet though! This deal came at a good time to enter Thailand.

        Where did you live overseas?

        • Quit & sold everything to move back home interstate - but did the 12mths overseas before settling down. Seoul was our base, and we travelled all around Korea & Asia. Great experience for our small kids too.

Spent quite a bit of money (with no income) as we tried to experience many things, while also living day in day out as citizens. One bucket list item done. I'd do it again any day.

  • Cheers OP. Nabbed some return flights for a week in Hawaii. Having never been to the US of A this has been on the bucket list.

  • Hi.

Can anyone give me an example of this Sydney -Hawaii at $239 in January? I can't seem to find any at this price or similar…

  • Do you think prices may drop further on their Friday Frenzy or any other upcoming sale, like say on the 30th of June? I'm looking out for cheap flights from Sydney to Cairns for August 2016. I missed buying it last Friday when it was going for $105 one way. Their current EOFY sale has it for $115 one way.

  • 1100 return to Tokyo for two during Easter period with luggage? Is this good?

    • +1

Not bad but not amazing either. I paid 450 return recently return and met other Ozbargainers in Tokyo who said they paid about 330 return.
That said, usual price is about 900 per person so I think it's not too bad especially during Easter.

      • Damn, I was in Tokyo in April but didn't meet any Ozbarginers. Did you find them at a cheap hotel or just talking at the airport?

        • Was sitting in a hostel common area and saw a guy browsing Ozbargain on his laptop haha

        • @azz:

Unreal! Which hostel was it/how was it? Might have to check it out next time (I was at Ace Inn Shinjuku ~2,100k yen/night for a dorm bed)

        • @downhillmtbr: Haha I stayed there for a night but it was a bit of a walk from Shinjuku station and the beds were too creaky for my liking. Moved to a much fancier place (Imano Hostel) just for a night which was real nice but JPY4200 per night (double!) was way too much for me! Spent the rest of my nights on night buses and in net cafes haha

  • Extremely disappointed they excluded flights to Nadi (Fiji)

  • Is there anything we need to do to get the voucher to be sent (bank transferred)? How long do you normally wait?

    • Just pay with PoLi, but there systems has glitches sometimes and I didn't receive my voucher last time :( So try to email them to ask if they can do anything when you didn't receive your voucher.

      • Do you usually receive it after the conformation of payment or how long is the normal wait?

Also do you have a link to the $25 voucher promo? Just so I can direct them somewhere

        • +1

I usually arrive together with the itinerary email, it is kinda unpublished promo so if you didn't receive it, really hard to get anywhere with them… Make sure you check all emails sent from Jetstar including spam folder.

        • @samehada:

Yeah I already contacted them and the rep didn't know what to do so she sent an email to the 'admin' team to get back to me
