      It's US$934.88+$93.49 GST btw.

      • Good laptop btw. Thanks for the post

      • Or $129.59 AUD Import fees according to Amazon.

  • For what i can tell there's no global wide warranty when it comes to MSI. So you most likely won't get any warranty in Australia. Keep that in mind perhaps?.

    • If there is a problem with the computer and I take a trip to the US within a year can I return it when I'm in the US? Would it make a difference if I ordered online from a shopfront store (eg. through adorama eBay). I'm having some problems with a computer I ordered a couple of months ago through eBay and was told that there was no worldwide warranty so I couldn't get it repaired in AUS.

      • Yeah it would have to be RMA and returned to the USA for warranty.

Doesn't have a backlit keyboard unfortunately.

  • Wow what a great price. Last week Paid $1320 for the 6QE 845 model.

This is a good deal if you are (ahem..) game enough.

  • is this better than a macbook?

    • +1

depends if you like to run Windows or OS-X. …… horsepower wise it's a nice machine, and 2/3 the price of a MacBook equivalent horsepower wise.

I don't imagine the target market for macbook is the same as this laptop's. A macbook looks and feels nicer, is lighter, has better battery life. This laptop can run games. It has better internal parts to run those games than the macbook, but the materials used and build quality don't match up to apple's product. I'm going to assume it's got about half the macbook battery life as well.

  • Does anyone know which laptop vendors do provide a worldwide warranty?

    • I think it varies per model and not necessarily per company.

For example I've seen some Asus and Toshiba notebooks with worldwide warranty but for some reason it's not available on all of their notebooks.

I'm guessing this is because some models are available worldwide and others are produced for a local market.
