No HDMI and only 1080 not the sweeter 1200, but still a nice price for a nice monitor. It is more of a domestic than commercial one tho.

    • LOL Displayport.

      • Yep, the video hub and chaining of monitors didn't really catch on, and this is the receiver rather than transmitter, so the 8K@ 30 Hz really doesn't come into it. You can get a HDMI adapter tho, and there are still a good many industrial standard lappies that came with display rather than HMDMI, being designed for work, not media consumption.

It's the VGA that is the zombie here really.

Just buy a brand new 24" monitor at the same price and get 3 years warranty instead of 1.

I know people think Dell make amazing quality monitors, but most of their panels are sourced from the same Korean/Taiwanese/Chinese manufacturers.

This is a new monitor. "As new" from Dell might as well be 'untouched', it's usually a large batch order that is cancelled or returned if it doesn't suit the needs of the client / or client did not pay for the order.

Also, free courier shipping straight to your home…
Good luck trying to convince MSY or PCCG to ship a monitor for you without being charged 15~25 dollars for courier handling.

There are plenty of brick and mortar stores that sell monitors or offer click and collect. MSY and Mwave are two examples.

I've seen this monitor pop up numerous times over the years on the dell outlet and bought numerous refurbished products. I'm well aware of how things work.

I bought this on the last deal and I'm happy with it. For an IPS it's a good price and don't let the response time worry you, many reviews claim around 5ms. I have mine overclocked @ 80hz and looks great for the price.

Can't order them at the moment, rep said he would get back to me tomorrow

  • Great screens, we use them at work.. The rep told me these are going eol soon so might start seeing more here.. I think the new model has HDMI (2417 I think)
Might try for 2 in the morning…

  • I can't believe that 60Hz/1080p monitors are still on the market for a huge price.

mainly because it's a Dell brand, and second this monitor has height adjust and pivot adjust (it can be used in a vertical position, great for writers and programming). Some (minority) people would gladly pay the premium for the comfort associated with a fully adjustable monitor.

There are more budget oriented monitors out there like the Phillips 246V5LHAB, whose normal price is $175 but the stand is very basic and there's no integrated USB hub.

      • That is what I meant. I work with 6-7 monitors daily, some are in vertical position but at 1080p the text is blurry and not clear at all plus when I need few windows open, each covers the whole screen! It feels like I need 3 monitors per system, that is terrible! So when it comes to quality, I'd be amongst that minority not to pay a premium for a terrible quality! I mean have you looked at the texts at 1080p comparing to 2k or 4k? I sill do not know how other people can read web pages, emails, codes or work with video or graphic design projects at 1080p! Or I have problems with installing graphics cards and monitors?
A quality display comes first, then I might think about the extra tilt and USB ports.

      Dell are retarded

  • And all 30 sold out, sigh.

    • Bugger, I was about to go ahead and order one. I should have ordered one yesterday when they first came up for sale.

As an aside, has anyone ever bought one of the REFURBISHED monitors as opposed to AS NEW?

If its only cosmetic issues on say the frame and stand on the monitor, I'd be find with that, just wouldn't want any blemishes on the actual screen.

      • Can't guarantee anything but I've bought about 3 refurb items from the Outlet and every time they've come in brand new condition.
