Availability

30 units at this price, 24 hours only. Please see item page for full details. Shipping time to your exact location is additional to dispatch date. It is expected that at least 90% of correct addresses will arrive to most locations within Australia Post's estimates. Peak periods may add congestion to the postal system. See www.auspost.com.au for details. Any addresses rejected by Australia Post will incur a charge of $4.90 for redelivery, because the item will have to be received, checked, repacked then posted again. Tracking is available if purchased but may not be added after an order is placed, as changes to coupon-based orders after placement are untenable for logistical reasons. Great deal though, so +1 :)

    Meh

    PS3 - $38.99
    X360 - $39.95
    XB1 - $39.99

    All Aus stock

Not enough of a discount to jump at here.

Oh, and definitely not $61 off… God I hate that you treat us like idiots.

    • +1

To be fair, at least it's off the RRP, which the game has sold for, and is the store's price if you don't use the coupon.

      • +6

Try a Google cache view of the product page - doesn't exist. This game just came into their stock, so they can price it however they want. The simple fact they advertise on here that it's an apparent discount off regular price is a bunch of BS and these guys do it all the time. Jack up to RRP to show a discount, it's the old Dick Smith way of doing a 'sale'.

      • The official Australian distributor says $99.95, and that's not even the Day One Edition.
      • Does your price you quoted include $3.99 Tracked Packet from China?
      • Does your price you quoted include $3.99 Tracked Packet from China?

        .

        All Aus stock

        Maybe you missed that part.

        • -1

Yes I saw that, but when I looked it said: "AU $3.99 RU Tracked Packet from China"

          @sellingoutsoon:

You might wanna check your location settings before attempting to try to prove me wrong… coz all you're doing is showing how inept you really are.

The link results are clear as day:

        • -1

@Spackbace: Hmmm.. it's not location settings, it's possibly our VPN automagically changing things, as opposed to manual site settings per se.

But back to the facts, what you've said is not accurate, according to the manufacturer.

That ebay seller is selling different stock (imported, not Australian version), as they advertise:

          Manufacturer Part Number: 4012927111208
          MPN: 4012927111208
          EAN: 4012927111208

But the manufacturer states that the correct EAN for Australia is different:

          4012927111130

          • The Australian edition may be valuable to people for different reasons.
          • Collectors may prefer an actual Australian edition
          • Our Day One Edition is a First Press release, with the correct DLC, not an import like the one you've shown

          Thanks.

      • +2

The official Australian distributor says $99.95, and that's not even the Day One Edition.

Have you sold this product at the price of $99.95? It does not matter what others have sold it for, if you have not sold it for that price, you cannot claim a savings off that price to deceive consumers by inflating the actual discount available.

        Source

Statements such as 'Was $150/Now $100' or '$150 Now $100' are likely to be misleading if products have not been sold at the specified 'before' or 'strike through' prices in a reasonable period immediately before the sale commences.

While you're at it, your comparative listing a missing a few shops who also don't sell it, try Officeworks, Ikea, Coles, Woolworths, just so you pad out your post a little more and make your deal seem more desirable and rare ;)

        • -2

          (1) The RRP is verifiable and current, from Konami's official licence holder
          (2) EB Games and other stores you may know better cite the actual normal price as $99.95 which is in line with (1)
          (3) Comparative pricing is from stores that normally sell the item, which is why they're listed

        • @sellingoutsoon:

The RRP is verifiable and current, from Konami's official licence holder

You just don't read can you? As I've summarised for you. Regardless of the RRP, if you have not sold a product at RRP, you cannot advertise a saving off the RRP, as it would inflate the saving actually offered to customers, which is deceiving and ILLEGAL.

I don't care if Jesus/Deity of your choice set the RRP, it does not mean anything. What you are doing is wrong, simple as that.

        • @IceCreamBandit: EB Games displays the same retail price as everyone else, including us. The only difference is Selling Out Soon is trying to provide extra value to the OzBargain community by making it the lowest price in Australia.

        • @sellingoutsoon:

EB Games displays the same retail price

So if something does something bad, do you do something bad as well?

Also EB are well known for sellinig at RRP for most of the year, with some discounts at Christmas/EOFY.

The only difference is Selling Out Soon is trying to provide extra value to the OzBargain community by making it the lowest price in Australia.

If you have the lowest price, good on you, but do not inflate the discount as it is misleading. This continued argument over somethiing you refuse to acknowledge is not good for your rep.

        • @IceCreamBandit: Appreciate your attention to detail. Speaking of detail, the normal price is actually $99.95. We have never offered new & sealed versions of this SKU for less, so what you're saying, albeit it interesting (sincerely), does not apply to this conversation, nor this deal. Importantly it is the lowest price in Australia. The only thing that is near is (a) more expensive, and (b) not the correct Australian, as ours is.

        • @sellingoutsoon:

How do you respond to this, where there is no evidence of you previously having offered this product, making it impossible for you to have an 'old/previous' price?

        • +3

@IceCreamBandit: I agree with this. The business can't say "saves $61 off our $99.95 price" if they have never actually sold it for $99.95 before for a reasonable period of time. This would be considered as "Misleading Advertising" as per ACCC link that was cited previously.

    • -5

Yes, we linked to that above in the deal. Does your price above include delivery from the UK?

      • +7

Note that part where it says "delivered".

        • -4

          Oops! Sorry :)

So, as it says above, that one is the Euro Edition. This deal is for the (First Press) Day One Edition and is for the Australian one. A lot of our buyers seem to prefer to collect Australian versions, unless the price difference is massive.

        • +2

@sellingoutsoon: Why do you keep pushing the fact that it's the Australian version? Why would anyone collect PES? It's not a collectible game.

New version due September, save your coins…

    • +1

This is for people who want the lowest price, and who are probably not going to buy 2017 until we sell it next year for $38.88 :)

      • This might be true but part of the experience of playing a soccer game is to have the latest stat and squad (i.e. transfer, form updated). By playing your way, you would completely miss out

      • +1

Anyone who wants lowest price may as well buy Fifa 15 from CEX for $8

        https://au.webuy.com/product.php?sku=5035226112386#.V4Xlqdx9…

If you want the new season squads you will need a "2017" version.

  • +1

Note that PS4 version is running at full 1080p at 60fps while Xbone is only sub HD at 60fps.

    Same for new PES2017

  • +1

Seems like a decent deal. People are being a bit harsh about the RRP. All it means is recommended retail price. If they used to sell it for $99 would it make it more of a bargain?

    • +4

This company is known for sitting in the grey area of price comparisons, and acting dumb when shown up. If you'd followed past 'deals' and the reps conduct, you'd know it's not as simple as that.

  • +2

    Thank you OzBargainers!

    for your fast ordering :)

    • You can still order until either the deal-allocated stock runs out or 3pm Thursday (whichever happens first)
    • Do it now if you want the (collectable) Australian Day One Edition for the lowest price in Australia!
    • Cheers guys!
  • +2

Overpriced. Ozbargainers know that come September you wouldn't even pay 10 bucks for a retail version of this game.

Save that 33 bucks for FIFA 2017 or Pro Evo 2017.

  • Why all the haters is a good price for someone who wants the game, we should try to support companies that offer decent deals is hard to be in business these days.

    • +5

Why all the haters is a good price for someone who wants the game, we should try to support companies that offer decent deals is hard to be in business these days.

Sigh…if you bothered to read the discussion, you'll see that it's not a problem about the price (because it is the cheapest available, likely because the new game is 2 months away but that's beside the point), it's about the practices the business undertakes to try and get business. It is hard to be in business, so what's wrong with providing constructive feedback to a business when their practices are illegal and could result in fines or worse?

I have no issue with supporting businesses, especially when a good bargain is available, but if the business' practices are misleading, then the issue should be brought up. The Rep should just let the deal's price do all the talking. If it is the best price available, then you could post a deal here with a 10 word description and you'd be guaranteed sales/votes, there is no need to inflate the discount like this:

Deal (must use coupon code) saves $61 off our $99.95 price, so you pay a total of just $38.88

The 'our' price is where the problem is, they have never sold it for the price, nor have they sold the product previously. They likely got hold of the product for cheap because it's been discontinued, so the RRP of the game at launch 10 months ago is completely irrelevant and very misleading. Good on them for having the cheapest price, but there's no need to be so deceptive in their practices.

The RRP of games is hardly used these days. Games are often sold at release for $10-30 below RRP (Big W/Target/Kmart/JB do this). The only store to actually sell at RRP is EB Games, so when EB has a sale, most of the comments here on OzBargain users are 'meh' or 'it's the normal price at JB/Target every day', so there's no real discount.

Another example is Android Enjoyed deals - Great prices, but business practices are horrific to say the least (see Whirlpool thread where customers have had to contact Fair Trading to get their money back because the business never had the product to begin with). Should we just support an Australian business because it's hard to do business? Last I checked people work bloody hard for their money too, should we throw it away when someone is saying "60% off, grab yourself a bargain" when it's more like 5-10% compared to current market pricing?

Edit: And there's the whole "Incorrect Versions" in their post. Yes I get that they pick up discontinued products on the cheap and need to clear it out to get money, but they habitually sh*t on other deals/businesses (see their previous posts where they've mocked a local store for going into administration). The other versions noted by others in this deal post are not "incorrect", some are from other countries (same content), and some are newer versions (with more content for essentially the same price), and the Rep tries to pass them off as inferior. It's painfully obvious what their business practice is - Pick up discontinued/old/obscure games for cheap and try get a profit on them. Only issue is the deceptive practice in trying to get attention (Australian edition for collectors/Day 1 Edition with insignificant DLC/Massive discount off old/irrelevant prices). If their prices are good (which they can be) and they weren't so deceptive in their practices, I'd be a paying customer for sure.

Edit 2: Sorry for the long post.

Wasn't this mob abusing people on here a few months back?

See people don't forget these things. Rather take my business elsewhere.

    • No, that was a mistake by a mod, admitted to by the mod, in public, and thence reversed by that mod. It made every comment we ever made look like it was removed. Please check the details, you'll see what I'm saying is accurate, thanks.
