  • What is your shipping cost?

Great deal, $75 pickup for a 1TB. After all, $25 fuel is as good as cash (for those who drive at least).

    So close to me too!

Good deal if you can get it. However, you need the serial number to claim the giftcard, so by the time you receive the HD, there is no way to be certain that you will be one of the first 100. That's why I won't be buying this.

    • Remarkably good point sir

You can request the SN and invoice once you made the payment online from our warehouse to speed up your redemptions.

Tempting but I would only buy if you can determine at checkout whether you will be getting the giftcard

nah. i prefer my discounts upfront.

  • This limited casbacks are scams. You will realise only after you are trapped.even gifts by redemption. Whycan't they offer when you check out.

Agreed mate, it would be more expensive than other stores if you don't get it…
      And 100 is such a small number…
I'm not a gambler, so (negative)

Did you check the price from other stores? $99 is already the cheapest price for this model. And only a few online shops can be chose to participating in this program. The voucher is a bonus, not scam. Most of our customers who claim the $30 gift card for the WD 2TB promotion last time already received their bonus :)

        • Ok, I checked other models, and on average they are 80-90, but again, other models.
For only a few stores, I think we can give it a shot.

    Scam imho.

The problem is.. The "cashback" is not even from PCMeal.. directly from WD themselves. So how can it be a bargain when you can get something similar from anywhere?

BTW.. MSY sells it for $85..

    • afaik MSY WD hard drives are Caviar Green not Blue

  • Just my personal opinion and experience, Blue will not be the ones that I would get from WD, either the Black for performance, or Green for energy saving. Blue is somewhat in the middle which I dont feel quite like it.

  • Yeh cashbacks are an unreliable concept at the best of times. A limit on the available cashbacks to be claimed? That is downright unethical. WD should be ashamed of itself for offering such a promotion.
