If you don't need the box, I'd just get a key from here https://www.saveonit.com.au/searches/index/1130

    • just remember that version on Saveonit is not the multi device version tho!

If you may only going to be using them on PC's then the deal from Saveonit is better. TGG is selling last years (2015) version of Kaspersky Internet Security Multi Device, 2 year license for $29 but Saveonit is selling this years version (2016) Kaspersky Internet Security 3 PC, 2 year license for $19. All depends whether you want mobile phone protection or not which if you don't then the multi device version is a waste.

        • last years licence will work on 2016 version

        • @bonky:

          Yeah that's true.

Still as i said in my opinion the $19 deal for KIS 3 PC from Saveonit is a better deal if only PC (Microsoft Windows) protection is needed.

      • Does anyone actually use mobile protection? I imagine that would slow down your device noticibly? And it would do nothing useful for iOS which restricts what security apps can access.

        • Probably not many use it.

    • What about Mac? Does anyone run anti-virus or anti-malware on a Mac?

  • I'm surprised TGG got them back in stock. When they were $15, I thought they were clearing out stock for 2016 version to replace it. Didn't think they'd get them back and then sell them for double that price.

  • How is KIS compared to BitDefender? Is it resource hungry?
I have the latest BD internet security 2016 and its very resource hungry specially when running chrome.

      I don't notice its footprint.

BD is hit or miss. Sometimes it slows my internet big time. Other times I reinstall it, and I don't notice any difference.

Kaspersky is alright. You will want to disable the Safe Money component as that tends to break some banking websites and cause issues sometimes, though.

Bitdefender's antiphishing seemed to cause issues with my internet speed when I last used it a year or so ago.

Went back to KIS after a couple of years with BD. Runs better on my laptops
