Newer Samsung TVs can accept USB drives (either for playback of media i.e. AVI/MKV/MP3) or for recording TV to (PVR). Sometimes devices may only choose to accept up to a certain capacity drive, in this case 320GB (if correct).

Not surprising as several other devices do this too, and a valid point.

        • Do you mean that current Samsung TVs have built-in PVR with storage to an external USB drive?

  • good price.

  • u can get a 500gb one from msy for 89

      • why why?

  • Whats the difference between a portable drive and a HDD??

    • The size and power. Portable HDD are of the 2.5" variety and (as far as I know) are only powered by USB. Normal external HDD are 3.5" and are powered by an AC adapter, as USB doesn't provide enough power to it.
