  • Anyone know shipping price?

    • +1

      I think its $6.95

  • Shipping sounds a bit much. Is it possible to match this previous deal by dropping the postage?

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/24908

  • imagine how much hyperbole they would use if it was 300mbps

  • This has 1T1R (150Mbps) instead of 2T2R (300Mbps) chipset ?

If so it would be good if that was clarified in the description.. in case people are disappointed when they cant reach 300Mbps speed ?

    • +1

Not sure it is was editted to add it, but it does have "ULTRA Fast 150Mbps Speed" in the ozbargain description.

Shipping appears to be a flat rate, so might as well say "$14.90 delivered" in the title.

i love the term "future proof" term considering wifi alliance just announced "wigig", 7gbps. :D

Hey guys. Give this promo code "TBCGAPR2010" a go at checkout for shipping. Think you can save up to $10 off shipping. Not sure when it expires. Not a bad deal for $7.95 when it works.

    • Awesome, thanks for this! Wouldn't have bought it without the discount :D

      • Same here. $8 for a 802.11n usb key - delivered. :D

    • $8, free shipping? I'm sold =D

    • Thanks for the code. Bought two instead of one because of it.

    • Not working anymore?
"No Further Discounts On Steal Of The Day Offers"

      • I can't get it to work either!

        • Darn it - me too!

  • Hi guys, I dont know much about these adapters, can I use this adapter to use it on my desktop to access wireless internet?

  • not sure if i need this.. hmmm

  • WOW. Almost proceeded to payment with postage! Lucky I read your post gtko! Saved myself almost half! :)

attrideepak, Yes you can use it on your desktop to access the internet provided you have a spare USB port, and a wireless router to connect to.

    • Yes I have USB port and I have wireless internet at my home and I use it for my laptop so I thought if I can buy this then I can shift my desktop to another room where i dont have the LAN.

  • A friend's wireless system is broken. I think this should be a perfect gift.

  • gtko, Thx for sharing

  • +ve for gtko's post.

  • +1 from me

  • Npz. :) Credit should go to the original poster in http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/24103.

  • Shipping code not working now. Because of steal of the day can not use it. It block me enter the code. Good luck guys!

  • The code just stopped to work. Obviously they don't want to ship us for free anymore.
Not going to buy it ;P

Sorry mate, at stated in the title $14.90 delivered.
Please only buy if you feel you are getting a bargain.
      Thank for all TopBuy supporters!
We will fulfill all existing orders and there is only less than 50pcs avail left.

  • Anyone expecting anything close to 150mbs is going to be bitterly disappointed, my experience with a few N dongles they peek at 60Megabits and that's one with a big antenna

  • Hi Where & how do it enter the promo code TBCGAPR2010? While checking out the only option i see in the payment section is the "Discount or gift certificate code" which is locked!

    • +1

Steal of the day is a promotion we run. Shipping discount is a seperate promotion we run. Promotions can not be used in conjunction with each other. Imagine goto a fast food chain offering buy 1 get one free burger deal and try to use free drink with burger coupon at the same time.

      • Will the shipping discount still apply to everyone that got in before you changed it? I've already payed.

      • Can I not use the Store Credit too? Not fair !

Thanks for the poster who gave the code for free shipping. It worked for me. Sad to see that its not working anymore

  • I received mine but the little disc is apparently blank when I put in my comp.

Are the drivers and manual online?

Can you please also confirm the manufacturer/model?

    • According to the manual:

      http://www.ralink.com.tw/support.php

      Ralink RT2070 , RT3070 and RT2770 chipsets

      • Thanks a lot scupper, my disc says 2870v15 on it. So I guess mine is 2870

Did you get one of these, can you confirm your model number?

Edit: I have XP 32bit running. Can anyone confirm what Omnipeek Tool is/does?

        • My disc also says 2870v15. The main readme file contains this text:

"The RT2870 is the kernel software of the RT3070 Chipset. Ralink didn't identify the driver difference between RT2870 and RT3070."

          The Omnipeek readme has this:

"The Omnipeek driver is a special driver used for Omnipeek or WildPackets or other software."

Never heard of Omnipeek before but google helped shed some light.

  • Just got mine today. It only came in an envelope with no padding whatsoever. I'm glad I didn't pay for postage. Everything works sweet.
