Bose Headphone Wireless QC35 $424.15 at Myer in Store

700

Bose QC35 wireless headphones $424.15 in Myer in store with trade in offer. The review for these headphones is pretty good, "The best overall active noise-canceling wireless headphone to date"

Originally posted by jbuttnz, the offer for 15% off all Bose headphones/ earphones still on at Myer in store, just take in some old headphones/ earphones for 15% off.

Was returning some faulty headphones today for a new set of the same model, but was offered a full refund or credit towards another pair, decided to go with the new QC35 wireless headphones, and without asking I was offered 15% off for returning the original headphones, saved $75 so I was very happy. Asked about the offer and any crappy headphones, earphones, in-ear etc. will be enough to get the discount, they throw them straight in the bin.

Other models also available;

  • QC35 $424
  • QC25 $339
  • QC20 $339
  • SoundLink around-ear wireless II $322
  • SoundLink on-air wireless $296
  • SoundTrue around-ear $211
  • Soundsport wireless in-ear $211

      • I was about to point you to the same review you have already linked me. I don't have a qc25 to compare.

The review says it's slightly better than qc25 in terms of sound leakage.

It doesn't need to be too loud at all to hear what music I'm listening to, quite clearly.

      • Used once, one vomit only?

  • Can you trade in a used pair of $2 el cheapo IEMs?

What do they do with this traded in gear? Surely it can't be hygienic to resell them? Who would buy used earphones anyway?

    • +1

It's just a promotion, they bin them.

      • Sounds pointless to require a trade in then. They get nothing from it, besides helping you throw it into landfill.

    • Btw, I got my set from Bose store directly. They price matched the Myer deal & I wasn't required to trade in any earphones to get the deal!

Bought these last time there was a deal, to replace my aging Senn PXC450s. Absolutely love them. Noise cancelling is excellent, and they were comfortable, even with 60 hours of travel for my last trip. Highly recommended.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned another good way (now expired) to get QC35 was to use QFF points to redeem a QC25 for around 35k POINTS (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/246504) and then stack with AMEX offer and pay only additional $70 to upgrade to a QC35. Not all BOSE stores will offer the upgrade but for those that got the headphones this way, it was a genuine bargain!!

    • where is Amex offer to upgrade ?

      I have QC25 n I bought it with Qantas Points. can I upgrade ?

      • +1

No he meant you have to go to a Bose Store to ask for the upgrade which cost about $100 and the Amex offer gives you $30 cashback

    • Wow that is a real bargain never knew you could do that? Guess I'll have to wait and try it out on the QC30.

      • Yep, I redeemed a QC20 too within the promo period and will now wait for September for an upgrade, but I am not holding my breathe on another AMEX deal! FYI, the store that offered the upgrade for me was the Camberwell BOSE in VIC. A similar offer was available as per this comment: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3811797/redir

These headphones are perfect for those that fly.
Using them currently on my trip from Melbourne -> DXB -> IST = 22 hour flight and they work well!
The noise cancelling is great, and sound quality is pretty good.

They come with an adaptor, to convert the single 3.5mm plug into 2 for aeroplane consoles.
The audio cable has a 2.5mm plug to connect into the headphones, but the other end is a standard 3.5mm

  • Anyone know when this deal finishes?

  • I bought the QC35 about 6 weeks ago for about 399 AUD from Myer. I also have several previous Bose QC headphones, and noise cancelling headphones from Sennheiser.

The new QC35 is not best sounding headphone, but it is best on the market for noise blocking. The new integrated polymer battery allows about 4 days of intensive use without the need to recharge.

Another good thing about the QC35 is that it allows you to use the headphone wired without having the noise cancelling feature switched on, which is not really possible in older Bose QC headphones.

Finally, the bluetooth on the QC35 allows you to connect the headphone to multiple bluetooth music sources at the same time without having to reconnect each time. Especially useful, if you use the headphone with multiple bluetooth devices at the same time (i.e. phone, laptop, etc).

I have to say this is great headphone and something of a good investment for a frequent traveller.

    • The QC20i can be used with noise cancelling on. Obviously not wireless though.

There was a 10% off myer gift cards offer through AGL on OZB last week that could be useful for this offer if still active. Looks like myer online takes gift cards now?

  • Myer said its over :(
