Booking through Bestjet (Australian) so Flight Centre will beat by $1 and may let you pay with CC

Alternatively BYOJet (booked through skyscanner) is giving the first Sydney trip (And possibly others) for $996 if paying with Visa Debit.

Avoid BYOJet at all cost. Check their reviews online before letting them hold your money.

Agree with this… I made a booking through BYOJet, waited for a few days but didn't receive the tickets, so I sent an email to find out what's going on. After another few days BYOJet still didn't reply to my email so I had to call them, after 1.5 hours on the phone I was told that the booking was not confirmed by the airline and will now be cancelled. It really pissed me off because they could've told me that a long time ago and not waste my time. Anyway, I asked to speak to the manager/supervisor, but the women on the phone informed me that she's the only person there and can't do anything for me. Never again…

In my experience, Flight Centre charge a CC fee surcharge.

  • I can't tell on IWTF site as it doesn't give me all the fare rules before booking but does anyone know if you can get off in VN going to and back from London, even with the extra cost of visas and hotel would like to have two stop overs to take a break from long haul flight and do some shopping and eating in VN.

After suffering on Thai stopping at Bangkok airport, I can't imagine how bad it must be on Vietnam airlines!

Suffering from what? Jet lag? Haven't you been on an airplane before?

Never been on a train, even. Sheltered life 😊

    great prices- brutal layover times

I flew with Vietnam Airlines on the way over to Melbourne 2 years ago. The first areoplane was old. The second plane was brand new and half empty. The service was good and they had as much food as you wanted, like sandwiches etc. Luck of the draw I guess but I can't argue with that price.

they're all going to be new by the end of the year

      • Not really their A330s and B777s will still be kicking around, it's just that by year's end their refresh program should be well underway with the 787s and A350s online.

For some of the flights you can fly Thai for an extra $200, which I consider a worthy investment, the level of comfort is vastly superior.

    Brisbane?

    • +1

Vietnam Airlines doesn't fly out of Brisbane yet :-(

  • Not sure about this flight but some of these return flights appear to be cheaper than a one way ticket. If you don't take the return flight back, what happens? Do airlines monitor this and stop you buying these cheap return tickets at a later date?
