      For Raspberry pi try Altronics, very similar to jaycar, and for me both about the same distance. The staff at Virginia (QLD) are really good. If you can wait a day or two try rs electronics, I got my raspberry pi from them, I think there shipping is always free, and when I got mine the price was about the best I could find. Best thing about RS is the free shipping nomatter how small the item, and its pretty fast - note though the prices listed are ex gst and the gst is added at checkout.

      Still has a purpose for last minute needs (Faults, components that are needed ASAP). While relevance isn't as strong, it still fills a niche.

      +1 for Jaycar. today its the new Dick Smith. Before Jaycar had a requirement for sales staff to know their stuff. Last time I went to purchase a component a year ago. Sales staff just looked at me blankly. Ask what component that is and then said I cant put through any sales without a sales code. These days I try to hold off going to Jaycar even for last minute single items, since its normally now the lowest chinese quality possible. I go to Rs Components since its free shipping and I can pick what brands of caps I want, etc.

    They have a bunch of Arduino and sensors now. Prices were not that bad. Only took them 5years to catch on.

        yeah way cheaper on Ali, or ebay.. but sometimes I'm happy to be able to walk on in and have it in my hands instantly for $10, than to pay $2 and wait 4 weeks!

          should try banggood.com. can be $2 but 2 weeks wait. Normally they ship next day. Got my esp8266 & oled within 2 weeks.
