Killer layovers for some of the dates I've searched 4 Oct - 17 Nov is 24hr 50 min on the way there 19hr 30 on the way back
5th Oct - 18th Nov is far better 55 min on the way there (hope you're on time ;) ) and 2.45 on the way back. On that day, however STA are offering it for $543 which can be beaten at Flight Centre or get a small cashback (about $2 from Cashrewards)
Check flight times on Royal Brunei Web page. From memory Thursday and Saturdays ex Melbourne are only short stop over in BSB and short trip home is on Monday and Tuesday from BKK TO MEL. Think there another almost direct flight.
ahhhhh, it was a sad day for me when theses guys stopped flying out of Brisbane. Great price.
