  I love how the price is $394 on ebay but $350 direct from Kogan. Really a 10% discount.

  unfortunately the x5-8300 is no better than a celeron, for basic use and do one thing at a time computing, you might manage and put up with it.

  I disliked the Atom 3735 series and I don't see this an improvement except in media playback same goes for the 8500. Their price on the market is ridiculous, then again so is the Laptop segment on the whole. Landfill is where I'll leave them.

    I bought a mini PC with this the z8300 for $110.

    You're right. It's good CPU for simple one at a time tasks. I use it as a media player (H.265 support) as well as a N64 emulator. Does the trick. I wouldn't be using it for multiple applications at once otherwise you'd be soon maxing it out.
