  • Thanks lyl :)

Optus Prepaid $10 SIM Starter Kit $2 >>>> disappear everywhere.

  • Got some questions about Adrenaline GCs. Is is extra 40% off the listed price on their website when paying by GCs?
Is there any recommendation about skydiving/diving in Gold Coast or Cairns? Planning to go there two weeks later :D Thanks

    • From my own experience, website discount will be disallowed when paying by GC (this was back in May)

      • So for example this deal we could probably bring it down to $200+ which is a decent price I suppose? (compared with some googled results, usually $300+).

        • Yep, 40% is the second best deal since 50% deal back in xmas/boxing day last year

        • @feihong: Heading to Coles nxt Wed :D I think I might need a $1000 GC……

        • +1

@rocklinsuv: Go for it! And if you are fortunate enough you may be able to buy Adrenalin with discounted Coles gift card, save further 5% off :)

        • +2

if they can do 40% off it shows you how much of a cut they take on bookings with the suppliers.

      • Yes. Discount not valid if pay via gift card..

        • Thanks for the info. Will surely get the GCs, need to spend almost 1K on skydiving and diving lol.

        • @rocklinsuv:

am i being too cheap if i hold out in hope of 50% off again soon? these things usually come in waves. not in any urgent need for them atm but there's always another adventure to be had!

        • Discount seems to work for me when paying by gift card

        • @mkheav: The system will apply discount regardless of the payment method. My previous comment was referring to staff intervention.. Coles staff members are getting stricter by the day, and most of them will now ask "how are you paying for these gift cards?" and paying by GC becomes very tricky (Coles T&C explicitly said GCs cannot be used to purchase GCs).

I wonder if the Quorn will be the whole range, that'd be nice. Probably is.

    • It is! Most are even more than 50% off too.

  • Can somebody kindly explain to me how a Telstra/Optus starter kit will get me google play credit? Thank you!

  • It's $30 Google play credit for $15 and must be used within 30 days.

    • +3

Actually if you sign up for long life you get 6 months to use it.

      • Thanks for the info!

      • +1

But then you can't use all $30 for Google Play and the fee is quite expensive.

With Freedom you can use all $30 for Google Play and still have lots of credit for call / text / data, though it will expire within 28 days.

        • +1

Who says you can't use all $30 for Google Play? You just have to make sure wifi is enabled and data disabled before you put in the SIM into the phone/modem.

    • Can someone explain to me how to use the telstra credit as google play credit?

        • I'm switching to Optus now, is this the best way to keep getting Google Play music subscription and movie rental cheaply? Eg, 1 $30 recharge would equal 2 months music subscription, plus a new release movie rental for $15 spent.

        • @sb944:
Yep, basically 50% off Google Play credit with some free data and calls to boot.

  • is there a limit to how many telstra start packs you are allowed to buy?

    • The store I went to only allows 1 per customer and the staff told me there are not many left in the drawer.

      • Bought all remaining stock (6) at Derrimut Village Coles

      • Do they normally keep them behind the counter or is it displayed on shelf?

        • It has to be behind the counter, otherwise anyone can activate the pack, as the SIM and phone number are outside the pack.

        • +1

@coprocessor8087: Damn it, the lady working there kept telling me it was placed on the shelves and if it wasn't there then they don't have any. I asked her to please check for any in the drawers behind the counter just to be sure but she refused.

        • +2

@davicta: Ask to talk to the stote manager. She most likely want to keep all for herself. Maybe her friends and family members are going there to buy them all.

        • Hanging on display for anyone to take. Worthless until purchased.

    Pepsi/Solo/Schweppes Soft Drink/Mixers 1.25L $1.1

Cheaper at Woolies at $1 until Wed so don't wait for this.

  • Picked myself up 2 Telstra starter kits. Cheers!
