Get it unlocked for $3 mate. :)

      • +3

Wasn't me, think he paid $10~

Good if you could provide a link for $3 unlocks though for other potential buyers.

          @lplau:

You can get it for free if you just call up ZTE yourself. they will unlock for you over the phone. These eBayers are just calling on your behalf anyway once they get ur imei/pid code.

        • @dabell: Really, never knew ZTE was so easy to get it unlocked. I know if you tried to call Apple or Samsung they'd tell you to p1ss off…

        • +5

@lplau: Which is why u dont see apple/ samsung unlock codes for $2 on ebay…

        • @dabell: I just called ZTE Australia and the IVR said for unlock codes, contact your provider.

        • +4

@3zzy: I should have clarified, you mention that You are going overseas, went to your provider, they provided a code, but couldnt be unlocked. your provider told you to contact ZTE. Thats what i did anyway and they asked me for my email and within 24hrs they emailed me the unlock code.

          @dabell:
Could you advise which number did you call?
          Thanks

        • @dabell: I tried calling ZTE, they don't want to know about it. Spoke to their unlocking guy in Melbourne. They'll just flick you back to Telstra.

        • @bazzaa: OK maybe telstra have instructed them not to. the phone i unlocked was the optus ZTE fit 4G

      • how?

Huawei Y6 pro 2 weeks ago at coles with full frequency band and HD screen was 99 dollars

    hope it drop to 49

    • Let me know if it is, is that for telstra as well? sounds like a good deal if it is

      • +1

with vodafone, but came with 700MHz band (sorry guys was Y6 elite)
        http://shop.vodafone.com.au/mobile-details/huawei-y6-elite-w…

        2G Network Band: 850/900/1800/1900

        3G Network Band: 850/900/2100

        4G Network Band: 700/800/850/900/ 1800/2100 LTE Cat 4

the disadvantage of Vodafone Y6 ellite version vs international version is

        8G vs 16G
        1G ram VS 2G

but official price is 129 VS 200plus

        • That makes more sense. A half price deal would make it $65 which is half decent. A better choice than the 4GX Plus HD for sure.

        • @MadMaxBargainRoad: Depends if you want Mashmallow or not. The Y6 is only Lollipop. I'm also not a big fan of their UI.

        • @bazzaa:
          install launcher3?

        • @edgar28: If you mean the Google Launcher, it consistently crashes on Huaweis, or has on every model I've tried and that's quite a few.

Any more info on that? I find it a bit too good to be true.

  • the only thing i hate about this phone is

    • 1.1GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with 1GB RAM + 8GB ROM
    • 480 x 854 pixels display

but the most important question is, Will it work with Pokemon go :)

    • Will it work FINE with Pokemon go?

can you confirm this 6.0 can use the SD card as internal memory. I have the Optus Alcatel POP 4 5" is (6.0) can do it, I call Alcatel and unlocked it for me . May be that dabell mix up this ZTE with Alcatel ??

Pokemon Go is so last week. It's all about No Man's Sky this week!

  • Thnx

Also as per the Coles catalogue, this phone comes with 3000 bonus points from flybuys.

  • Bought one too.

  • i got one just for pokemon go.. works well! No crashes so far!

    • does the Telstra 4GX Plus have a flash on the back camera? looking to buy one for the mother in law but can't find that info anywhere.

  • Thinking of grabbing one of these for my entirely outdated father. He's got an old LG thing from a few years back that's still running Jellybean. It's got <.5gb of RAM, and I think about half the processing speed of this.

Target (Knox, possibly all) have this for $79 at the moment and I'm wondering if anyone here and push me into grabbing it? Good phone or? I know it's underspec'd but he's got by fine on that phone for ages, and only contemplates upgrading now because it's turning off every now and then and doing other weird shit.

All he uses it for is calls, texting, and playing Yahtzee. The specs in this should be enough to run light shit like YouTube and maybe pinball or something though too, right? I've overclock'd my Xperia Play which has way lower specs and it's running strong as a secondary / gaming phone. That being said, this would have to be as vanilla as possible, don't wanna have to complicate shit for him.

Anyway, if you bothered to read this, thanks! If you bother to reply, double thanks!

    • Its a decent phone, regular apps should work fine. The only thing I disliked was viewing angles, but well, you get what you pay for.
