$50 Zuji Voucher with Any Flight Booking Using Visa Checkout (except Tiger, Scoot) @ Zuji

130

Zuji is offering a $50 Zuji voucher when you book any flight with the exception of Tiger & Scoot.

I recently used Zuji to book a flight in the US which saved a bit as it charged in Australian dollars, found a very cheap flight, plus got a tiny bit of cashback. But let's look at recent airfare deals, using a CC and compare:

ZUJI Flight Servicing Fee: Domestic $20.00, NZ/Pacific $40.00, International $0.00 per booking.

So I'd say don't use this for domestic or NZ/Pacific flights unless the price is very similar.

For example, Melbourne to Canberra(where there are only 2 airlines) brings up a best price of $316 from cheapoair (charged in USD) or directly from Virgin for $350. Zuji comes up with $377 inc fees so - $50 = $327. May be good if you don't want to deal with a lesser known site charging in USD.

T&Cs:

Visa Checkout: Offer applies to any flight booking made at www.zuji.com.au when you pay using the Visa Checkout payment method on the payment page, from 9:00 17 August 2016 - 23:59 31 August 2016, for any departure date. To be eligible, you must book flights and pay with Visa Checkout. Mobile site bookings are eligible and holiday package bookings are eligible where flights are included. No minimum spend applies per booking. Offer strictly limited to one voucher per flight booking. Vouchers can be used on www.zuji.com.au. Some exclusions may apply. The voucher will be issued via email to the booking contact within 5 days of booking a flight. Excludes any itinerary containing Scoot, Tigerair and car hire. The expiry date for all vouchers issued as part of this promotion will be 31 August 2017. Offer can be withdrawn any time without notice. We reserve the right to cancel any ZUJI voucher that has been issued against a cancelled flight booking. ZUJI is the sole promoter and as such all inquiries in relation to this promotion must be directed to ZUJI’s Customer Support Service. ZUJI’s standard booking terms and conditions apply.

Voucher is available with any flight. See comment.

  • Does it need to depart Australia?

    • Any flight, anywhere other than Scoot or Tiger.

      • Can this $50 zuji voucher be used on anything?

        • Should be. My guess is its a one time use code you use when you checkout.

You can check with live chat to be sure if you are worried.

    • I went onto live chat and apparently this only applies for flights departing Australian destinations (despite no mention of this in the T&C).

      • I called them and a man named Paul said it was for ALL FLIGHTS, regardless of departure point - so long that it is booked through Zuji.com.au.

        Think its worth the risk?

        • Hmm. Well, its not mentioned in the T&C so if there were a dispute you would win. Given you spoke to someone who confirmed that, then you should be fine.

        • @neil:

I booked a flight with AirAsia worth about $75. Entered live chat with operator Eagle B, who confirmed that I was eligible for the voucher. I've saved the chat transcript too.

I encourage anyone else to do the same, just in case

        • @nkrdlyk:

          Voucher was received.

        • @nkrdlyk:

          Great. I'll update the description.

  • does it work for air asia?

  • +1

So if you're charged in AUD, does that mean no foreign transaction fees on the CC? or are they (Zuji) located overseas?

It's a bit of a grey area but I think if you're charged in AUD, but the merchant is overseas, you get slapped with the foreign transaction fee.

    • Australian Dollars. No foreign transaction fees for me via my AMEX.

      EDIT:

      Zuji Receipt

      AMEX Statement

    • True and they are not insignificant.

Bit of a grey area on the terms and conditions of the actual voucher too

  • Just checked a Bangkok to Chiang Mai flight and it was $46AUD. With AirAsia….

  • Could you do multiple separate bookings? There seems to be no indication of one voucher per person or account.

    • The Good: You can claim this multiple times per account. It will for each transaction or booking.

The Bad: It's only for flights departing Australian destinations.

      Source: Live Chat.

EDIT: Seems like the info I got was wrong, you can use it for any flight.

      • but can you redeem all the vouchers in a single transaction?

  • Voucher received today. This is actually a pretty good deal. Don't know why it didn't make it to the front page

    • when did you book your flights?

      • last Saturday

        • thanks. I booked mine last Friday and still haven't received it. I will wait for another day or two.

    • Is the voucher just a coupon code you add at checkout?

      • yup. They sent me 2 x $50 voucher codes for 2 separate purchases

  • i received an email saying i have a $50 voucher code i can use to discount a suggested zuji hotel in the city of my destination and it will expire 31 Aug 2016 but minimum $400 spend, got this about 2 days after my flight booking. Is this the "$50" or just a marketing ploy to confuse people?

    • Different promotion.

      • Thanks
