  I bet it's going to magically reappear on their website (possibly with minor modification) after the sale is over. It really interesting that they cannot take back orders - I would understand it if they are retailers, but being a major PC supplier this marketing practice seems really suspicious.

    But aren't those CPU's EOL? So even if they wanted to make more of those they can't once their stock has run out. We're moving towards Core iX now.

  Yeah I also think they are just trying to get rid of those CULV processor models, as the new iX-um models are coming next month.

    ttkc, the Thinkpad Edge 13 you were talking about in an earlier post, do you have a coupon that's still works? I can't seem to get it for under $900 even with above coupon.

      You do not need any coupon to get the deal (and the above coupon does not work for this model), it is already on sale, listed $657 for the basic model with 13inch/Intel SU7300/1GB/160GB/Win7HP/4Cell/Webcam/1year warranty. Upgrade to 2gb ram and 6cell battery (8hrs) will cost you $737. It was marked down from $1099 to $802 and to now $657 so I guess it's a real deal. I suspect Lenovo will soon update the Edge 13 with the new i3-um processor that's why the huge discount. I also searched USA and Hongkong Lenovo websites and Australia has the cheapest price for this particular model. Not sure if you are eligible for the Affinity member though…

  Lenovo has similar deals about 2ce per month (I know because I receive their newsletter), so I don't think this deal is that much different from the other. Also, the ThinkPad X201 already had the i7 processor, which is still on sale…or am I missing something and the i7 is different from these to-be-released processors?

    Looks like the X201 comes with i3 and i5 at the moment. I think there are low-voltage versions of these processors being released soon.

  I just got a call from Lenovo too. X200 is EOL and they are not honoring the offer. He suggested the X201 but it starts at $1700 lol.
