  • Do the English kit kats taste any different to the Aussie ones?

    • +2

      A bit, but not much…

They don't taste as sweet. I prefer them.

just tried one. very nice. not a bitter dark. and not overly sweet. goldilocks.

      • Oh that's great, thanks!

      • I think the milk chocolate ones taste sweeter than the Aus ones. Not as nice anyway.

    • +2

they do taste different. I personally prefer aussie ones as they are sweeter…the UK ones just dont taste "right"…

Our local woolies have been selling these for at least a couple of months now.

They've been discounted every week they've been there…

    • you must go there often

      • +2

gotta go to the clearance fridge often.

      • +3

        you must go there often

        at least once a week.

    • Yep, our woollies have always had them on sale for $3.

      • +1

        I got some for $2.50 about a week ago…

        • I got them for $3 thinking a bargain compared the the Aus ones. No one at home likes them, looks like I have the job to finish them off.

          @PVA:

looks like I have the job to finish them off.

          the sacrifices we make…..

  • Unless I am mistaken (only read the packet on the Milk Chocolate version previously) they are made to a UK recipe. That doesn't mean that they are made in England.

  • Yep, not as sweet. Got some for like 80 cents a month or so ago. Honestly I wouldn't buy them again at that price. Aussie ones with salted caramel are excellent though :)

    • The salted caramel … yum. Taste really rich, with almost butter taste. Wonder if there is butter in it.

Yeah dunno. Oh I also like the choc mint ones, and I'm not usually a huge fan of mint.

        • Found out it is most likely the full cream milk powder that gives it the rich taste.

I am also not a fan of mint, hence have not tried. But will give it a try. Thanks.

        • They taste like the arnots peppermint slice imo yum.

"Made In England" with genetically modified garbage and globally-sourced ingredients from a multinational poisons dealer. Yum! Imported Crapola is so much better than Local Crapola. Local medical bills for the win. Local diabetes for the win. Trick or treat, kiddies. Mum knows best. If you're good you get some. "English Recipe" for the win. Just like mum used to make it.

You should probably relax. Here, have a kitkat!

      • Or they should just not comment. Almost the same cut and paste words for every comment they do.

  • Bought some at this price from the clearance section at Ashgrove in Brisbane a couple of weeks ago. Taste good.

  • +1

Dang, paid $2.24 for the dark one about a week ago. I personally quite like these UK recipe ones. Will definitely be buying more at this price!

  • These ones are definitely less sweet. Will pick up more if they go cheaper than $2.50, which I paid recently. Can't beat the Aussie Salted Caramel ones, though, for taste. Those are quite divine. Must be the full cream milk powder used (I just checked ingredients, to see if butter is present) giving it that fatty buttery taste. A tad too sweet though, if only they would reduce the sweetness …
